This was our first time opting for accommodation slightly outside the main town during summer holidays, and we certainly didn’t regret it! The two Villa Emilios buildings are set in a peaceful location, just a relaxed 15-20 minute walk into Palairos. The Accommodation: The room was spacious, sparkling clean, and comfortably furnished with very comfortable, quiet beds. Having two bathrooms in the apartment was a huge plus! The rooms were cleaned daily and provided with all the essentials for a seamless stay. Another practical bonus: the tap water is safe to drink, and the water pressure is stable. The View & Parking: The views from both balconies are simply phenomenal; the blue bay with Lefkada, Ithaca, and Kefalonia in the backdrop makes for stunning sunsets. Parking: Private parking is available right on-site, offering good shade for a solid part of the day and zero hassle. The Beach & Bar: Access to the beach is directly through the yard down a small set of stairs. The beach served us exceptionally well, great if you don’t feel like driving around. Almost like a private beach. It’s a pebble beach with a short 2-meter band of middle stones at the entrance (nothing specifically dangerous), opening up into soft sand. The water deepens gradually, making it safe and easy for young children. Since it's located in a sheltered bay, the water is calm, warm, clear, and free from open-sea waves. The beach bar (same name as the villas) serves quite reasonably priced cold drinks and ok food, including cooked meal options. Sunbeds are free of charge, and there's a convenient beach shower available. Host & Communication: Communication with the host, Mr. Emilios, was effortless, clear, and friendly right from the start. Check-in was straightforward, and the overall attitude was warm and welcoming. This is a place I can definitely see us coming back to.
