Gorgeous Ocean Views and Friendly Staff—Just a Few Comfort Issues

As you walk in from the entrance, the view that unfolds is absolutely beautiful. Sitting at the restaurant during sunset with a Bintang in hand, looking out at the ocean, was just perfect. The on-site restaurant serves both Indonesian and French-style dishes, and we had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there — everything we tried was delicious. The staff were also incredibly friendly

The only downside was the location — although the view was stunning, the resort is quite isolated on the beachfront. There are a few neighbouring resorts, but dining and activity options within walking distance were limited. Another thing we found inconvenient was that there was no fridge in our bungalow, not even a small one. It was extremely hot during our stay, and unless we bought drinks from the restaurant, it was hard to keep anything cool. The reception also operates on limited hours, which caused a bit of trouble when we checked in late. One of our group had a large suitcase, and the stairs leading down to the bungalow were very steep. Since we couldn’t reach reception at that time, we didn’t know what to do for a while. Fortunately, a staff member eventually found us and helped carry the luggage. Still, it would have been helpful if the steep stairs and lack of accessible paths had been mentioned beforehand, as it would have made choosing the accommodation easier.

Good value for money, nice tidy accomodation.

Great price, close to own little beach (we didn’t swim there but pretty to visit). Room was unique with loft for kids upstairs. Beautifully kept gardens and pool. Food was great, we loved the smoothie bowl.

We chose to get driver/ taxis to take us around Uluwatu, not close walking to any sights but driver was great.

Amazing sunset views in a quiet little oasis

Beautiful facilities, extra comfy bed, nice spacious and well kept rooms. Lovely to have fans and aircons options. Very nice pool/restaurant area with spectacular views. The restaurants served very nice meals, open all day, well priced and with lovely staff. Access to the private beach is great with fabulous views of the sunset as well.

Location is a bit secluded and hard to get to. It was a long way from any of the main attractions.

The private beach is outstanding. It's a must do. Even if you only stay for one night, don't miss it. On top of that, the view is fantastic. Very friendly staff also.

The location is a bit far from where things happen in Uluwatu. So you must need a motorbike. If you don't feelm comfortable riding one, you'll have to rely on Gojek. The rooms are bungalows Bali style - beautiful but not too private as you can hear people outside.

Beautiful property with ocean views and gorgeous garden

Beautiful property with a gorgeous garden and ocean views! You can walk down to a little beach directly in front of the property which is more of a reefy cove but is lovely nonetheless. The bungalows are spacious and separated so you don’t see your neighbours. The restaurant has amazing views. I would recommend walking to ‘Dapur Balangan’ for the fabulous and affordable meals though! You can also walk next door to experience a flashy and expensive holiday vibe as they have a spa and bar / restaurant. Bonus: guests can request a drinking water refill at the Milo’s House restaurant, and there is a pool with sun lounges!

Everything was great! The food at the restaurant was good but I’d recommend trying other places too. The location is best suited to those who want a bit of peace and quiet, and who don’t mind walking to warungs and beaches or paying for a scooter or driver. This was fine for us but may not be everybody’s cup of tea.

Wonderful oasis of peace in the busy south of Bali

The place is fantastic. The rooms are spacious, clean and very cozy. The restaurant and pool are lovely, overlooking the sea and a wonderful area to lay back and read. The restaurant has numerous options and the ones I tried were very nice. I got the breakfast included in my room and I’d say it’s absolutely worth it. There is a private beach, and although it’s not easy getting into the sea (it’s basically on top of a coral, so it’s not ideal for swimming but small natural pools form which are great to chill in the water), it’s still great to have this small oasis of peace. Given how busy and chaotic some of Bali is, Milo’s home felt like a safe space to relax and see life pass by. If this is what you are after, I would highly recommend it. I also got a massage and it was lovely.

This side of the island is very spread out, and although is within walking distance to Balangan beach and a low-key nice restaurant called Bagus Warung, there isn’t much else in terms of walking distance. This was ideal for me cause I wanted peace and isolation, and moving around is easy enough, but worth keeping in mind! The food I tried was great, but I would have loved to see more Indonesian food (they have a bunch and all is lovely, but not many) and less western options, but I guess they need to cater to their clientele.

Rip off for HIVES in taxi mafia

Paid for 4 nights, left after two and lost money. Wouldn’t refund due to booking.com apparently. Rude French owned. Friendly staff who can’t help you. Towels and bedding gave me HIVES No food alternatives for allergies Only cows milk offered Taxi mafia- no pick ups or drop offs unless you walk 500 meters up hills Aircon struggled to heat small hut Mosquitoes everywhere No hand soap in outside bathroom Neglected dogs in resort Restaurant has terrible food and limited menu Over priced cocktails staff don’t know how to make Beach umbrellas were broken Tiny pool Restaurant looks over larger pool of different resort. ($5 day fee and better bar than restaurant- definitely recommend). Location not close to anything. No Grab or Gojek.

Just Stunning, very intimate but well planned and each villa private. We had the main villa with the pool and sea view, highly recommend and will stay again. Access to beach ... uneven high stairs, but quaint beach with rock pools and sunset. Stunning. Loved the Bar, Restaurant and pool very intimate, but stunning sunset views over bay past Kuta etc.

Be prepared for a taxi ride, weaving in and out of streets, very interesting. Taxi found hard to find, entrance hidden near end of street on the left side of main hotel. But ok

Everything was absolutely stunning! The location secluded with a breathtaking view from sunrise to sunset, the bungalows are spacious and super clean, pool is perfect, food was delicious, and the staff is attentive and super kind. Oh and the garden 🙌🙌

It was a perfect stay and we loved that part of the island.

The staff was incredibly friendly and they helped us with everything we needed. The property is next to an almost private beach. Calm and a good atmosphere reign. The rooms are bungalows made of wood and straw with a quaint stone bathroom.

Disappointing

The bungalow is nice.

Honestly I’m very surprised by the postive reviews on this place. The restaurant is bad and grossly overpriced. The location is far away from everything, there’s nothing to do around the accomodation. The staff was a mixed bag, a few friendly people but most of them can’t even force a smile and don’t look at you when talking to you. Overall value for money was poor. The bedsheets had stains in them when we arrived. On our first night there was loud music and people talking until deep in the night, and the bungalows though they look nice, they have 0 soundproofing.

Our first 6 nights in Bali in this amazing place made a charming start for our trip. Recommend!

The area is amazingly green and as it is quite rare to get a sea view in Bali for such a price it was an amazing opportunity. Good Breakfast options, a comfortable outside area, and board games to use. A pool from a neighbor hotel was available for use due to the renovation of the hotel pool.

Hidden Gem

I loved Milo's. Beautiful grounds, pool, cute bungalow and restaurant with views from the clifftop. The staff were fabulous, lots of lovely pets about the place too. This Hotel is the perfect place to relax and have a quiet vacation, off grid.

The hotel is a bit far from anything, but this is fine if you have a bike or are happy taking local taxis. There was no Telkomsel coverage, and their WiFi wasn't the best.

Little gem in Uluwatu

The place is secluded and nestled close to some other hotels, in case you want to experience something different. The style is super cosy and all the details are taken care of. Good choice of food in the restaurant. Amazing view from the outdoor area, you could just spend hours there.
