Domaine Mas Pigné

Très bon séjour au Domaine du Mas Pigné. Pierre est un hôte adorable. Le gîte était confortable, grand, propre et calme. Un lit bébé nous a été prêté pour le séjour, ce qui est très pratique. Alix a même eu droit à une fraise du jardin :) Les extérieurs sont magnifiques et agréables, j'imagine que ça l'est encore plus hors période de canicule. Bref, super expérience, merci !

Le propriétaire est super sympa et on a l'impression d'arriver chez des amis. L'emplacement est remarquablement calme avec une très jolie vue sur la montagne. Balade a pied au bord d'un ruisseau jusqu'au village avec un restaurant très bien sur la place (Complet mais une table a été ajoutée après avoir précisé qu'on était hébergé au mas). Petit-déjeuner très agréable, seuls face au paysage.

La propriété est ancienne (XVIII) et pourrait être rénovée. La chambre et la sale de bain sont très spacieuses, mais tout est un peu vétuste. En revanche, la literie est correcte. Naturellement, pas de télé, ni de climatisation, mais attention : aucune surprise car c'est ce à quoi nous nous attendions, en rapport avec un prix plus que correct.

We liked the host, who couldn't have been more pleasant. We liked the house with its thick walls and high ceilings. Sauve itself is utterly delightful and the region is as beautiful as anything in France. The dry heat made a pleasant change. The property is spacious, it's quiet, being well away from the road. The view from the window was marvellous -- that splendid cypress near the house.

The main problem was universal -- heat, even at night... tempered by the breeze and thick walls. I have the feeling that more heat pumps could help much of southern France where temperatures can be high but it is rarely cold in winter. Expensive, but the more are produced and installed, the more prices may fall. Some problem with mosquitos. But the big upset was an invasion of tiny ants which were attracted to my wife and made it impossible for her to sleep. Pierre told us he'd never seen ants on the first floor, and at first we saw only very few, taking great care not to leave crumbs on the floor. We recommended an electronic device to keep them at bay.

Es un poco difícil calificar ya que depende de lo que busques. Soy fanática de las casas antiguas por eso en particular a mi me gusto mucho, pero era un alojamiento básico, lejos de todo, no hay desayuno y encontrarás muchas telas de araña con arañas, algo esperable en una casa de campo. Pero aún así no deberían de haber. El lugar en general parece abandonado. Al llegar pensé que me habían estafado. Sin embargo, las camas eran muy cómodas, dormí muy bien, porque es un lugar con mucho silencio y oscuridad. Las habitaciones tienen muy buen tamaño, con cocina incluida y un baño con lo básico. Su anfitrión es muy agradable y nos recibió muy bien. A pesar de que le faltan muchas cosas y mantención en general, lo recomiendo.
