Perfect accomodation in calm place, even though the restaurants and shops were very close, with beautiful view on Kerkis mountain. The room was quite basic, but very clean, quiet and functional, AC worked very well, even though we did not need it. Amanda was very hospitable person and gave us everything that we need (including vine bottle as a welcoming gift), she even called a taxi and gave us a lot of information about the island. Votsalakia is beautiful spot for travelling around the island, the south-western part was the most interesting and wild with not many tourists.
Everything was perfect.

Ich habe eine wundervolle Woche im Oktober im Studio Popi verbracht. Dort steht alles zur Verfügung, was man benötigt, es ist sehr sauber und war zur Nachsaison sehr ruhig. Ein perfekter Ort, um den schönen Strand, der direkt hinter einer wenig befahrenen Straße liegt, zu genießen und ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Amanda, die sehr freundliche und liebenswerte Vermieterin, kümmert sich rührend um die Studios und um die Gäste, steht jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Verfügung und hilft bei Bedarf mit Ideen und Tipps zur Freizeitgestaltung aus. Dass sie Englisch spricht, ist dabei sehr hilfreich. Die Studios sind in einem sehr guten gepflegten Zustand, die kleine Küche verfügt über alles, was benötigt wird (u.a. Kaffeemaschinen, Wasserkocher). Die Betten sind sehr gut. Man kann im Garten bzw. auf der Terrasse sitzen und die Ruhe genießen. Vom Balkon aus hatte ich einen tollen Blick auf den Berg. Marathokambos ist ein hübscher Badeort und war im Oktober sehr ruhig - perfekt für Erholungssuchende und Naturliebhaber. Geschäfte, Supermärkte, Bars und Tavernen sind alle in direkter Nähe. Ich habe mich im Studio Popi sehr wohl gefühlt und möchte gerne wiederkommen!

Amanda is a very lovely host, always ready to help or provide useful tips. She booked a taxi from the airport for me and helped me to plan my trip to Heraion and Pythagoreion. The place is cozy and clean; I loved the garden and the patio with view on the Kerkis mountain. There are plenty restaurants nearby; the nearest supermarket is just some 200 meters away and the beach is basically over the street. For hikers, I can recommend the trip to nearby "Pythagoras cave" (about 4 km uphills with mostly reasonable ascent, altough the stairway at the very end is quite steep).
There is no public transport connecting the village with the airport or other important places like Pythagoreion. Hence, if you want to see the other parts of the island, you need to rent a vehicle or use a taxi.
