Extremely pretty facilities. The pool and the view were out of this world.

Some staff members could be a bit nicer, particularly some waiters and hosts.

The location, the food, the staff! Ideal place to spend a few quiet relaxing days or as a base to explore Tuscany.

First off the property is absolutely stunning and even better than the pictures represent online. The breakfast every morning was exceptional as was the food at dinner. Special thanks to our Brazilian friend and chef Andressa who was incredibly friendly and helpful. Another special thanks to the male day time manager (I apologize but forget his name) but he was very attentive and sincerely appreciated his willingness in fact his insistence on getting our feedback before we left. Most people shy away from getting critical feedback and he did not, so kudos to him.

Regarding the critical feedback: the staff in general was not nearly as welcoming and helpful as our previous stays in Rome and Venice. There is significant room for improvement there to make guests feel more welcome and special especially considering the price point. Moreover the hot tub in spa was not working and charging guests 60 euros to use sauna and steam room after paying more than $500 USD per night and staying for 4 nights cheapens experience. The pool was absolutely stunning but pool side service was lacking, slow and almost non existent. We also did the wine tasting which wasn’t bad but certainly lacked wow factor especially compared to other tours/tasting we took in Tuscany. I don’t want this to sound all doom and gloom as I am optimistic that their willingness to listen will correct the ship and if they do the hotel will be as special as advertised and worth the price point.
