Breakfasts were very good and the location was exceptional, just inside the old walls of the city. Good private parking and a peaceful garden to enjoy. A lot of restaurants and possibility to explore the old town within easy walking distance.

What an amazing place to stay!

Charming Philippe and Camille welcomed us into their amazing house. It really is a beautiful place, inside the Guerande city walls with parking for the car in the garden. Good breakfast in the conservatory, with the gardens outside. This really is one of the best stays that we've had in France over many years, and first one I've given a "10" to.

Love the house, we stayed before about 18 years ago. Friendly and accommodating hosts, excellent breakfast. We were able to watch the state funeral for the queen in their lounge.

Amazing place to stay in a historic building and loaction!

Lovely stay in a historic building within the medieval walls. The room was reasonably sized, had a tasteful décor, very clean and had great views. Service was exceptional and very accommodating (could communicate French and English) throughout the stay. Cannot stress enough how beautiful the whole building (and its décor throughout) is and what amazing atmosphere it has!

No negatives that I could think of. Maybe a heads-up that my room had bathtub shower arrangement and not a conventional "standing shower" space, meaning it's slightly different (not a negative really!).

A historic manor house, a museum with comfortable beds, modern plumbing and charming hosts

Most hotels are just a bed with bath in a sheltered space. La Guérandière is all that and more. This Maison d'Hôte is a historic manor house from the early 19th century decorated to recall that period but with comfortable beds, modern plumbing and a delicious breakfast. Camille and Philippe are charming hosts always ready to respond to any request and provide guidance for visitors to historic Guérande which is just outside the front door. This location is a memory to be recounted to your friends for years to come. You will be lucky if you can get a reservation so plan ahead or go during the off season.

We loved our time in La Guérandière. The location inside the town walls was wonderful. Our hosts were charming and infinitely helpful. Being able to walk to restaurants at night was also great and the breakfasts were the best we've had anywhere we have stayed. We would definitely return.

Excellent location in a beautiful, historic home. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

The wifi in our room was horrible most likely as we were on the top floor. I need to conduct some business later in the evening around 10 pm, and I situated myself in the breakfast/lobby area where there was internet access and a place to sit. The manager told me it was quiet time and I needed to wrap up my call. There was no one around me, I didn't appreciate this.

Very cute and personalized decor. Hosts are very welcoming. Great location in town.

You can hear doors of other travelers and louder talking or coughing. Also, the shower did not have stand so difficult to take a shower. Be aware there is no tv in the room.

Nous avons tout apprécié: l'accueil à notre arrivée, la demeure très jolie, la chambre cosy avec sa petite salle de bain très agréable, la literie, la vue depuis la chambre, le petit jardin qui jouxte une véranda incroyable, la proximité du centre historique, le petit déjeuner, la présence et la gentillesse du maître des lieux. C'était un très joli moment passé en ces lieux !!

Un havre de paix.

La maison est magnifique, un charme authentique. Les chambres sont très confortables, très bonne literie. Décoration très soignée . La véranda est splendide, on s’y sent très bien pour le petit déjeuner qui est très copieux et avec des produits de la région. L’accueil est fort sympathique. Ne changer rien . Nous serons ravis de revenir séjourner dans votre magnifique demeure.
