Fire alarm went off at 3am, no staff on site, no emergency/on call number to phone. Fire brigade was called and came out but told residents there was nothing they could do due to there not being a fire and they was unable to contact staff about the call out. We were told all we could do was go back inside and hope staff arrive on site soon. Fire alarm was still going off at 7am/8am. On arrival we were not told any protocol to follow if the fire alarm was to go off, which is very unsafe. Fire brigade told residents to put a complaint in about this night as they were also going to be putting complaints in.

Fire alarm going off at 3am not turned off as no staff on site till 8:30am all guests left or slept in the vehicles. I didn’t have this option as I don’t drive Tbf I stayed there for 12 days new owners so some problems to get sorted Bed sheets not changed bins not emptied Had to ask for clean towels and toilet roll Hopefully they sort it out

The room was clean and big enough for 4 people. Shower was warm and towels big enough to wrap around your body. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good choice of breakfast items and good price.

It didn't have a bin in the room and the cold tap in the bathroom didn't work. However everything was fine for one nights stay. heater wasn't very warm for the room

I feel it could have been a bit cleaner as the shower was leaking in the hose and dirty , also it needs updating a little , holes in the walls etc also it was quite noisy, the walls were thin so people talking laughing etc , and smelt of cigarette smoke all down the corridor .

Everything - from the moment of getting out of the car, to being hit with the most God awful Sewage smell ( which didn't go the whole stay ) being given a lovely printed Food leaflet to only find out 5 minutes after being given said leaflet that no food was being served at all, which included breakfast and no reason as to why ?? Mouldy shower room and loose fixings, the mattress was so indented one side it was one of the worst night's sleep I have ever had. I would not recommend this stay to anyone at all & despite this review I am very easy going.

That there was a bed suitable for myself and a child.

No refreshments tea/coffee in rooms as advertised and mentioned on paperwork in rooms. Very noisy on the corridor. Doors slamming both late in the evening and early mornings which really unsettled my son. It wasn't clear where the rooms are for sleeping in. The lady at the bar pointed across the pub and we ended up feeling somewhat lost. No one was around in the morning to hand the key back to. So left it in an unlabelled postbox inside the exit door. The shower was hot cold and the flow was intermittent very unpredictable

There for a wedding , Was clean and had everything needed , my only issue shower seemed to only have hot water which made having a shower a bit awkward , other than that staff brilliant , and venue lovely

Yes on booking .com it claimed that this place was 250 yards from the wedding venue which is not correct it’s 10 mins away which made us late for wedding it’s actually 3.8 miles away not 250 yards away.when we arrived back place smelt outside door of weed full of youngsters in bar .greater by the manager who said he runs the place smash it up do whatever you want it’s our last night here !!!looked like underage drinkers it was horrendous .advertised breakfast when we went it wasn’t open and no one to be seen .horrific place would not recommend a single soul to this place made me feel anxious .we booked it cause booking .com advertised 250 years away which is incorrect information .just awful.

That we couldn’t get any tea or coffee anytime we wanted it, we left at 8:20am and there was nobody on site to take our key when we was checking out, also that we could hear absolutely every shower going off in other rooms

When we pulled up outside we thought we were in the wrong place - it is essentially a social club. This is fine but it wasn't what you could call inviting and with numerous young men in 'hot hatches' milling around the carpark we decided not to stay and found alternative accomodation nearby.

Absolutely nothing.

Upon arrival, it was clear that an event was taking place. While we didn’t initially see this as a problem—expecting it would wind down by midnight—the noise persisted well beyond that. Loud music continued past 1:00 a.m., followed by disruptive behavior including doors slamming, people shouting and swearing, and what sounded like a very heated argument in a neighboring room. When the music eventually stopped (around 1:30 a.m.), a heavy bass noise began, which made the entire room vibrate. This, coupled with continued shouting and door slamming near our room, went on until about 3:30 a.m. After finally managing to fall asleep, we were woken again at 5:30 a.m. by someone trying our door. This was particularly unsettling, given that our room was at the back of the property and shared a bathroom with another room directly opposite. To make matters worse, when we got up, we discovered there was no hot water. The only staff member on site—a cleaner—kindly turned on the boiler for us, but even after waiting 30 minutes, there was still no hot water. When we spoke to another member of staff, we were told the boiler was on and that nothing more could be done. We asked if we could use another room to shower, but were told the property was fully booked. As a result, we had no choice but to boil water using the kettle and wash using towels—far from ideal, especially as we had a full day ahead before travelling home.

The staff were friendly

Dirty, no toiletries as advertised, shared bathroom (dirty) advertised as en suite! Dirty old mattress outside, old furniture stacked up, no food available as advertised, absolutely no signal, young lad smoking cannabis by the door, bed sheets for rooms stored in an outside plastic container….

Near to where we want be next morning.

We kept awake till 5am with other guests arguing and shouting. Shower had not been cleaned it had hair in it and left over cap off tubs of shower gel. Less than Half roll toilet paper in bathroom with no spare. No bin put any rubbish in

Rooms were clean

Staff very rude. Checking was a huge hassle. You join the queue in the bar to do your check-in when it's noisy and crowded. Very bad experience

Comfortable bed and adequate

Couldn’t find it off the main road, couldn’t lock bedroom door from the inside

The location was good for our requirements. The hot water was nice and hot , shower was good with nice towels and bed gad nice crisp sheets. Staff were polite and friendly

Unfortunately the room next door sounded as if the television was on half the night , so a disturbed night, also Tea & Coffee making facilities were not available in the room. Upon going to breakfast we given sincere apologies because the chef had phoned in sick, so no breakfast available. Room needed two chairs (as we don't like sitting on the side of the bed) Also a small bin for rubbish was missing.

Room was tidy and clean

No toilet brush to clean up after yourself in case you stain the toilet bowl while doing number two. For me I don’t like people cleaning up after me I’d rather I do it myself.

The Bar ladies are excellent very helpful
