Lotus Village Resort

The resort is beautiful and in a great location. The pool is one of the best I have ever seen - It is a lovely place to relax & the view is 10 out of 10.

Breakfast could be improved, especially the selection for children, and some of the food did not always seem fresh. Housekeeping needs more attention, as towels were often forgotten and the room was not always cleaned thoroughly. Professional photoshoots should be limited to designated areas, as they affected guests’ privacy and comfort. Finally, the resort advertises a gym, but there is no gym on site, which was disappointing.

We loved the beautiful location on the beachside of the resort. However half of the resort is located across a busy road away from the beach. The breakfast area is on the beachside and ideally located for breakfast had a variety of food options available which we enjoyed. Our beachside bungalow had spectacular views and was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating.

I requested a quiet room with no smell, and the staff confirmed they would arrange this. When I checked in, everything seemed fine. However, when I returned to the room in the late afternoon, there was a very strong oil smell in the bathroom, and a lighter but still noticeable smell in the room. The oil smell was extremely unpleasant. After staying one night, I check out and asked the front desk to ask why my room smelled so strongly of oil. They replied that it might be due to machinery testing in the neighboring area. This means the issue has happened many times before, yet they still assigned me this room. My room number was 24. The staff only responded with something like “oh, I see,” without taking any further or practical action.
