A lovely and convenient hotel

It is elegant, cozy, clean, and centrally located. I love the place! Just a short walk from the Szeged National Theatre snd various concert venues, it is ideal for someone visiting Szeged for a performance. The room was very comfortable and quiet.

The hotel doesn't really feel like a 4 star hotel. More like a 3 star hotel that tries to get to 4 stars. The hotel isn't bad. I liked it. But, I feel like something was missing...

Very comfortable, great staff and location — will stay again

Very clean and comfortable hotel with absolutely amazing staff in the centre of town. Decorated in the old Hapsburg style so feels quite plush. Excellent value — will definitely be booking in here again when I visit Szeged.

10am checkout, but the staff were flexible and didn’t mind me checking out around 11.

well, they had 24/7 reception. That's good. Staff was okay, nothing negative to say here.

I was told by mail that they really treasure cleanliness. Well. Jokes on me for believing it. Parking options are also extremely bad, too. Cannot recommend.

The location

The air conditioning cannot be turned off, which is uncomfortable at night. The booking.com room page showed photos of all room types, which misled us when choosing our room. The breakfast area is just a small “food corner” where no more than 3 people can fit at the same time. Food quality is average and the selection is poor. The bedside lamp was not working. There are no easily accessible power outlets for charging a phone. Unfortunately, the overall value for money was negative.

There was heavy black mold on the rubber at the bottom of the shower stall. The bed had a spring mattress and was too soft for my back. The outlet behind the nightstand was difficult to access.

Mozzart hotel Szeged

The property has an excellent location, and the room was clean. The hotel staff were kind, but some didn't speak English well. The property is a good place to stay for a couple of days, not longer.

After day one of our stay, the toilet was broken, and the water was constantly running. We complained at reception, but the receptionist did not understand us, and no one came to fix it for the next three days while we stayed. Also, breakfast should be more diverse, and sometimes there is no place for all the guests to sit during breakfast time (only four tables are available). We got only two towels while staying (four nights), and no one came to bring the clean ones.

Hidden jewel in heart of Szeged

I lived in Szeged and stayed in many hotels in the city but this was my first time in Mozart. It is peaceful and like stepping back in time with paintings and chandeliers. I had room overlooking street which I always like as I love street noise, but the cafes and restaurants close around 22.00 so it should not trouble anyone, Inside the hotel it was quiet. Lovely high ceilings with chandelier in the room. I slept very well and the location is fantastic. I forgot my makeup bag and called them on the way to Serbia and they kindly said they keep it until June.

Only some minor touches like more mini toiletries in bathroom. I also should have asked if the safe worked as it looked as if it didn't, but I did not need it for one night. I did not take breakfast so cannot comment.

It was fine

Everything was fine part from the ac not working, but we got a portable heater from the saff later on. Also, for breakfast you only get pork meat, something to keep in mind if you are muslim. Overall the stay was fine, staff is super nice.

Great stay with a charming room and an unbeatable location

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room decoration had a charming medieval touch, and the bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of space in the room, and being on the ground floor with a door leading to the yard was a lovely bonus. The location was also incredibly convenient, making it easy to explore the area.

The only minor issues were that the beds were two single beds pushed together instead of a twin bed, which was a bit inconvenient. While the bathroom was clean and functional, it did look a little worn. Additionally, there was no parking lot, though this was clearly mentioned in the hotel description.

Acceptable for one night stay

Location

Bathroom didn’t have any shower curtain. Entire bathroom was wet after using shower. Toilet seat is too high. Room didn’t have kettle as written on room guide. Shower gel was too little, needed to ask more. Breakfast was poor in terms of quality and quantity.

Location is excelent, in the very city centre in quiet street. Girls who work at the front desk are great.

huge disappointment

location

I got disability access room I didn’t book. it was obvious that someone else got the room I booked as that type of room is listed on Booking.com. When I claimed to change the room the receptionist said there were no rooms available as the hotel was fully booked (I couldn’t change the hotel as 3-night stay was paid in advance) The safe in the room was broken so I got universal key for it (?!). The receptionist managed to hide the emergency exit light so I could sleep… All in one, huge disappointment :(
