Baan Sukreep Resort

Baan Sukreep felt like a slice of paradise after a stressful stay elsewhere on Koh Samui. The resort is quiet, rustic, private, and tucked away from the busiest tourist areas, while still being walkable to nice beaches and other restaurants. It was easy to get a Grab when we wanted to go farther. The pool was incredible, the garden setting felt peaceful, and the staff were kind and welcoming. We also loved the friendly cat. The onsite Mekong Fusion Restaurant & Lounge was excellent, with very flavorful Vietnamese/Thai fusion food and a surprisingly impressive whisky, rum, and cigar selection from around the world. You can tell the owner has put care into the menu and overall experience. It felt like a calm place to actually relax on Koh Samui.

The room was slightly small and the mattress was quite firm. It is also a more rustic, quiet resort rather than a polished big hotel, which we liked, but it is good to know before booking. Bathrooms are also quite small.

The staff are amazing, so accommodating and kind; our stay felt very personal. The resort is boutique cosy and comfortable, the bungalow was clean and spacious, and the whole place has a lovely ambience, surrounded by nature. The breakfast is fantastic with great variety for a small place, and the food at Mekong is some of the tastiest Vietnamese food we’ve ever eaten!

Pretty much loved everything about our stay!

It’s quiet and away from the main streets. Adorable cat that accompanied us during our breakfast time. Our villa was located right next to the entrance, so convenient for us to enter and exit, and also collect our deliveries from Grab and LineMan.

While it’s great that this property follows a sustainable approach, it would have been great if laundry instructions were provided on the day we check in. Shower pressure would be nice if it was slightly on the higher side as we did not want to spend too much time bathing on low shower pressure. Do relook into the towels as there were stains, and they gave me a bad itch/rash. Pillows and bed were too soft for our liking. Cable box TV remote was faulty, so we could not use it to watch the TV. A lot of mosquitoes and flies outside our room. Would be nice if a natural insect repellant is placed outside the house to deter.
