Stunning location, excellent if you prefer the quiet and don't mind lots of walking and steps. Bus stop nearby with direct bus to Fira. We walked to Perissa black beach (1.5 miles) which was also fantastic. Loved the Venetian castle area on the doorstep of our villa with cave houses, meandering paths and alleys with little cafe at the top. Villas themselves are extremely pretty to look at. Plunge pool was great, and felt like a real treat but due to lack of shade and no suncream allowed in it, advise teeshirts are worn. Very friendly welcome on arrival.

When you book it's hard to know which photos for the overall site relate to the villa you've booked. As a family of four with two older teens/adult children, our villa (volcano) although gorgeous was a bit too small to feel completely comfortable. The only seating available were patio chairs. No sofa inside and the double room had limited clothes storage. We asked for the brolly part to go with the stand for our terrace but it didn't come - so we couldn't use the terrace during the day as was too hot. Canopy by pool was ok but small space and difficult to fit all four under it with the moving sun. Kitchen was tiny/limited so didn't cook but was fine for breakfast. Don't want to distract anybody from booking this place - it is really lovely, just might be helpful to know about the above.

The villa was as described structurally however privacy was an issue. The villa was clean. Welcome drinks provided.

Privacy was a big issue. The rooftop lounge was totally overlooked. The courtyard pool area was also overlooked. We needed to vacate the room each day from 10-11 for cleaning and they would just open the doors even if you told them you were not ready. We cancelled cleaning too. Also a big privacy issue in the evening when the manager Nicholas opened the door to check we had hot water as there was a switch. He wanted to come back each evening to turn switch on but no times given and he would just try to let himself in. We left early felt very very uncomfortable with lack of privacy. Also bedroom had horrific steps to a bed you needed to step up onto. Lots of steps to bathrooms.
