The best possible location in this bay

- excellent location - excellent swimming and beach conditions regardless of wind direction and intensity - small beach right in front of the hotel - free sunbeds and umbrella - 2 wonderful mountain hiking trails

Quietly situated and picturesque with its own small beach for swimming. Very short walk to the main Stavros beach which is sandy and easy to get into the sea unlike most of the beaches along the northern tip of the peninsula. Very relaxed and friendly.

The kitchenette could have a few more facilities-a toaster and maybe a microwave, but we easily survived!

Avoid Room 8

The property is well located. There’s a small bay in front of it, with beautiful water to swim around, the main beach is 5 min walking.

The shower was broken, you couldn’t possibly take a shower using the shower head. The toilet was dirty, and although the room (number 8) was “clean,” it could have used a deep cleaning. The bed was not great, but not bad. The staff was friendly, but all communication was done online, and we never saw them, so no one could fix the shower.

Excellent location and accommodation. Little Bay and the beach in front of the accommodation were perfect. An excellent choice even for a very short stay. Rated 10 out of 10 in every aspect. The apartment was airy and super clean, the location very peaceful and the scenery just amazing. The few local tavernas/restaurants are reasonably priced, and you can always cook your own food, if you can detach yourself from the amazing beach that is. You can't find this kind of landscape and scenery and quality swimming in any other major Mediterranean island (e.g. Sicily, Sardinia, Malta or Cyprus). Crete tops them all ;)

Public transport options to and from the airport were very limited (no direct buses or minibuses to Stavros; you have to change bus at Chania). If you can't/don't want to rent a car, your other realistic option are taxis costing around 30 euro per trip. Uber not available (unlike other Mediterranean islands such as Sicily) which would be convenient for trips to other locations around Akrotiri, especially if you want to eat and drink in places outside Stavros when you shouldn't drive anyway! Local buses only connect Stavros to Chania, stop at very few locations in-between and are infrequent, especially during the weekend. Locally advertised boat trips from Stavros to more secluded beaches and coves are also very expensive, unless you can organise/be part of a larger group.

Relaxing stay on the beach

Entire apartment with everything you need and basically a private beach. A few good restaurants within walking distance, the Zobra beach nearby, and you can hike up the mountain to the cave for a beautiful sunset. We enjoyed cooking and eating most of our meals on the peaceful balcony—it was so relaxing.

The bed was uncomfortably hard and the pillows too soft for our taste. There were limited beach chairs, but we usually found one available. Sometimes people left towels on the chairs for long periods, which made it a bit tricky to find an open one.

Quiet, relaxing stay in a beautiful setting

Nice quiet location and comfortable room with nice view of little bay and mountain across the bay. We had the superior sea view room which was worth the extra cost. Free sun lounges nice since they are 30 Euro at serviced beach nearby. Decent restaurants nearby but the grocery store is 15 minute walk if you don’t have a car. The application Wolt delivered food once and it looks like it can also deliver groceries. Nikos (owner/manager?) is very kind and nice and is on site 9-3 every week day. Check in on a Sunday when he is not there was easy. Nice balcony with clothes rack. Nice garden area with covered picnic table and loungers. We did not cook but there were adequate cooking facilities for making meals although no oven or microwave. This was our second time here and HIGHLY recommend for a quiet, relaxing stay in a beautiful setting which I can compare to stays on many Greek islands.

As is common in many hotels in Greece, you are requested to put toilet paper in a bin and not flush. Again is common in budget locations, the shower did not have a curtain or screens so water soaked floor mat. We were told to not drink tap water but 1 large water bottle provide for start of stay,

Loved it!

The location is excellent and it is soooo quiet - exactly what we were looking for. Access to the little private beach with free umbrellas and sunbeds for the guests it is a really nice thing to have access to. The room we stayed in was very big, it had a separate bedroom and an open space living room/dining room with kitchen. We had access to a balcony from the bedroom and another commun balcony from the front room overlooking the sea. We loved it. The rooms resemble the pictures you see in the description of this property.

Beds too hard, pillows too hard and big but this is something we found in every place we stayed in Greece over the years so we got used to it. :)

Amazing location with most helpful management

Niko and Joanna made us feel very comfortable and welcome. We vappreciated very much their excellent service in your unique location. Our friend had an injury and was hospitalized for 5 days in Crete and their concerns to help us wete very much apreciated.

Your outside sunbeds could be more comfortable in such an attractive and special location. It is quite unique i think. We experienced a lovely sense of Crete and some of its great history. Amazing loca

The most beautiful Cretan holiday

The location of the villa is absolutely amazing: right in front of a small gulf and the mountain with a nice private beach two steps from our room. Relaxed athmosphere, well kept garden, beautiful bougainvillea and palm tree. We loved every minute of our stay. Apart from being surrounded by so much beauty, we were welcome wholeheartedly by the staff of the villa. Thank you very much. Hope to stay longer next year.

Calm stay with wonderful view

Excellent place for a rest. Almost private bay with a wonderful view. Quite comfy rooms with air-condition and terrace/balcony. For the guest there are some sunbeds and common area to eat or have a little party outside. We came there by a car and didn't check other the transport possibilities, but this place is relatively close to the Chania airport to consider taxi ride.

Missing some kitchen equipment like sharp knife, cutting board or bigger bowl but it was not a very big problem for us. I think host will help if you ask him for anything.
