Lovely hosts; family run hotel

Lovely hosts. Close to the Lake. Easy to find. Parking nearby. Family run and quaint. It felt like being in your grandparents home but that was part of the charm. It's not a modern hotel by any means. However, it has a lot of character.

We were always late for breakfast or nearer closing up time so there wasn't much left. But that was on us. The host did bring cold cuts directly to us when they realised there wasn't much of anything left.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The rooms were spotless – housekeeping came every single day and cleaned the entire room thoroughly. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. There’s well-organized parking, and the food was excellent, with some dishes homemade – like delicious pies for breakfast and fresh homemade juice. The location is perfect and very beautiful. The rooms have both air conditioning and a fan, which work great and keep the room pleasantly cool, plus a fridge for extra convenience. The view from the hotel is stunning. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and I would happily come back again!

Amazing property with amazing location

Amazing location, the beach is across the street and we could use sun-beds. Perfect stay, delicious breakfast - everything is made homemade by the owners (the hotel is family business), the view of the lake is just spectacular, there is a rooftop that all guest can enjoy. We were without a car, so it was really easy to go there with a train from Milan to Lake Garda and then with a bus to the hotel.

Amazing

The location is great, the room we stayed was confortamble, very clean and had an incredible view to the lake. Claudia is very kind and friendly. Actually, all the staff is! Also the breakfast was great. My mom and I liked very much!

VERY good value for money!!

The owner is wonderful, very hospitable. The rooms are pretty simple (as to be expected), but quite big and comfortable. The sun terrace is a great feature that no other hotels around offer! Breakfast was delicious and had a lot of options, including a fresh orange juice which I have never seen on a menu of a 2-star hotel :) The restaurant is great for dinner, too, we ate there twice and were satisfied both times.

The rooms can get quite noisy late in the evening as there is a busy road right next to the hotel + many other hotels around. But it was not so bad, we slept well. The window blind in our room only went down half way.

But if you are looking for a comfortable and welcoming place where you feel the care and love in every gesture, then this family run hotel will welcome you with a hug. There wasn't a fridge in our room. I asked to have one and indeed they provided it to us. But... upon checkout, I was surprised to pay 5 euro per day for the fridge. I wasn't informed earlier that it would cost us an extra charge!

Clean and cosy hotel right by the lake

The owner was very friendly and helped us with all we needed. The hotel is clean and we were given a renovated nice room with splendid view of the lake and the mountains. The breakfast was amazing. There was everything, you can only dream of. The beach for swimming was only two minutes away by foot.

Right in front of the balconies of the hotel, there is the extremely loud main road, you can hear that road even with the windows closed. The single beds were super hard and narrow and upon turning around I almost fell out every time; nothing for sensitive sleepers.

A fantastic experience

With a family atmosphere, the feeling of being among friends from arrival to departure makes the whole experience unique. The homemade and typical meals allowed us to experience Italy as a whole. The hotel was very well located with easy access to transport and maps that allowed you to explore further around. One day we return to Lago di Garda it will certainly be to return to Hotel Sorriso.

Highly recommended

We´ve spent two wonderful nights at the hotel. Our room was impeccably clean and had a great view from the balcony. The bathroom was simple, but did not lack anything. The hotel manager was very helpful and forthcoming. The hotel is located in a slightly quieter region of Lake Garda. There is a minimarket across the street. Bigger supermarkets are in walking distance. Breakfast was delicious with great choice of sweet and savoury food. There´s a small parking lot beneath the hotel building. If there are no free places left, you can park on the public parking lot and get a reimbursement from the hotel.

I´d recommend bringing some earplugs as the airconditioning and the street noise tends to be more noticable at night.

Great hotel and wonderful hospitality !

Family who owns the hotel and runs the business is awsome, very helpful and customer orienteted in everything they do. Hotel is well kept and location is excellent with a beautiful view to the lake. Room was clean, beds good and just renovated bathroom just perfect. Breakfast has it all, salty and sweety things to eat and fresh fruits + bonus prosecco. Also evening meals were very good. Easy to reach by bus and good location to travel around lake Garda. Would love to visit again!

One of the best small hotels

2 star hotel with 5 star service. I loved everything about the place. First of all, the service is outstanding. There is nothing like staying somewhere that wants their customers to feel like they are on vacation. This is that place. The family run hotel takes pride in their operation and it is clear in how the place is run. The complimentary breakfast is the best that I've ever had at a small hotel. The room looked out over Lake Garda and there is a bus stop only a few minutes down the street so the area villages are easily accessible. What more could you ask for?

Basic rooms, friendly owner, good breakfast, nice position direct at small harbor. Free parking in open garages under the hotel.

The rooms basically have zero soundproof. So you can hear your neighbors very well. Bathroom is quite basic, do not expect luxury but everything functions like it should. No complains.

Worth a short stay, well located

Staff are friendly and the loacation of the place is great, next to beaches and the villange center. Also there is a parking place.

Some of the furniture was old and the bed made a lot of noise when turning. The airconditioning could not be adjusted and was set to "very cold" without airconditioning it was very warm.
