Good enjoyable stay for a few days while exploring the area.

The lodge was well designed and in a good position for getting out and about in the area. Our room was a little tired but well equipped ,the bed was comfortable and the room opened out onto to the main decking area with it’s wonderful views.

The staff were pleasant but some lacked the skills to give a great service.For example certain foods which run out at the breakfast bar weren’t replaced without constant asking. Some days the rooms weren’t serviced until well into the afternoon.The swimming pool seemed to constantly have the pool cleaner in it.

A truly special place for rest and renewal.

My stay at Ikhaya Safari Lodge was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere of the lodge is calm, authentic, and deeply peaceful — exactly what I needed after a long journey. The lodge has a very special energy: quiet, harmonious, and grounding. The views are absolutely beautiful, and the surrounding nature creates a feeling of space and serenity. The young gentleman at the reception was exceptionally kind, attentive, and welcoming — his warmth made the arrival especially pleasant. One of the great advantages of this location is its proximity to the starting point of the easier hiking route up Table Mountain, as well as an excellent nearby restaurant. This makes the lodge a perfect base for both rest and light exploration. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Overall, Ikhaya Safari Lodge feels like a place created for true rest, reset, and reconnection with oneself. I wholeheartedly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for peace, comfort, and authentic Cape Town atmosphere. Wishing the owners and staff prosperity, success, and all the best. I would be very happy to return here again.

As this is a boutique lodge, services are intentionally minimal — which was part of its charm for me.

Perfect for our 2 night stay - next time we won’t take a chance and book well ahead for longer

The room was beautifully presented and clean - the rest of the lodge was the same - great outlook and nothing out of place

Difficult to suggest anything - access to the upper rooms with large cases was challenging but that is because it’s a Winding staircase due to space restrictions - I wouldn’t see this a negative though

Lovely space to relax in

Sonja at reception was so lovely and allowed me to come early and use the pool and deck area which was greatly appreciated. The lounge, deck and pool area are comfortable with lovely views of forest and vineyards. Nice bedroom with fridge, tea and coffee facilities and nice bath products. A peaceful nights stay away from the city!

My room didnt have a nice window view (only a skylight and small window lookong onto car park) but was fine for me and probably the cheapest room you could book, so not an issue!

lovely, warm, welcoming, and sweet = delightful

All in all, such a lovely, warm, welcoming, and sweet stay at Käthe’s wonderful gem in the heart of the Constantia Forest. Her helpers were delightful, and it truly felt like home. Since we had quite a bit of luggage, we asked if we could move to a larger room — and within 15 minutes, everything was arranged. All the rooms are charming and lovingly decorated. The absolute highlight was her adorable dachshund ladies — little Poppy accompanied us everywhere. Käthe herself was incredibly helpful, always quick to respond with useful tips and her warm, welcoming manner. All in all, a truly beautiful stay.

Ikhaya - a hidden gem showcasing Constantia's beauty

Ikhaya is simply stunning. A beautiful lodge with amazing views, so scenic and tranquil but only a short distance from Constantia's best tourist spots. The facilities and rooms were luxurious and the breakfast was delicious, not to mention the friendly staff. Käthe was the perfect hostess, making us feel at home and going out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay - which we certainly did and will definitely be back.

Quite noisy traffic this time due to wind direction. . Pool was very cool and shaded but we enjoyed relaxing by it with a glass of wine.

Our two-night stay at this hotel was absolutely delightful! Nestled amidst nature yet conveniently close to the city center, it offered the best of both worlds - a peaceful retreat just a 30-minute drive from the CBD. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. Priscila, Winnie, and Kathe were incredibly accommodating and made us feel right at home. Plus, their adorable dachshunds, Papi and Gabi, added an extra dose of charm to our experience! The location is perfect for nature lovers, with easy access to Beau Constantia and scenic hiking trails. And let's talk about breakfast - it was a delicious spread that left us energized for our adventures. Convenience is key, and this hotel nailed it with its proximity to the hoho bus stop, making sightseeing a breeze for tourists like us. To top it all off, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary sparkling wine and chocolate, making our post-wedding trip even more special. Special thanks, Kathe! Overall, our stay was nothing short of amazing, thanks to the wonderful staff, serene surroundings, and thoughtful touches that made our experience truly unforgettable. We can't wait to return!

It was very comfortable , spacious and enough private space and amazing views and walks .

We were two families staying at the lodge - with some hungry athletes - we all loved the breakfast and the portions were huge and the variety and the setting was amazing . Really one of the best breakfasts we've had in a long time .

This is not lodge issue but the Uber and public transport was very poor - we had to ask a restaurant owner to take us home one night as the UBDER will keep on cancelling the trips .The transport was generally an issue .

Lovely welcome and a very comfortable and clean bedroom and bathroom. Beautiful views from the terrace and handy for the Kirstenbosch Gardens. Cooling small pool.

All the animal heads and skins. Breakfast was initially offered in full sun and was underwhelming. Lots of traffic noise and difficult to get in and out on a busy road.

Ikhaya Safari Lodge - Simply Awesome!!

Staff was AWESOME!! Very good service, kind and attentive. Property manager was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about surrounding area and attractions.

Wi-Fi was less than spectacular during our stay, but they are working to correct this issue.
