Mavilim Hotel

Wonderful location on the peninsula with stunning sunset views and incredible staff. The on-site restaurant, Oburus Momus, is one of the absolute best in Kaş. We were especially grateful to the receptionist who kindly drove us to our next hotel during our transition. We would happily stay here again!

On the downside, the room was smaller than we expected; for a couple traveling with large luggage, there wasn't really enough space to comfortably open our bags. Overall, though, we appreciated the great service and location.

The staff was amazing - always there to help. The room cleanliness is on point. The beach club is clean, the sea water was wonderful, there is a beach shower, and there are enough sunbeds for every guest. You can even spot sea turtles by the beach club! The staff at the beach were also amazing: they were quick with any kind of help, whether a food order or opening an umbrella when I couldn’t manage it myself. Location: for us, the peninsula is an amazing place to stay thanks to its privacy and sea access. You can always get a taxi to the city center for 450 TRY one way. Also, on our first day we forgot to exchange EUR to TRY, and one of the staff simply gave us 500 TRY so we could get to the city comfortably. It was a big help - a small but important gesture that made our taxi trip easier. Thank you for calling us a taxi almost every day from reception, that was an amazing help! There is a coffee point at reception, so you can help yourself anytime and if you don’t know how to use it or something is wrong with the machine, again, the staff is there to help at any time! The restaurant is vegan, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby and in the center to experiment with for dinner. The rooms are cozy and we enjoyed our stay. I would add an iron and laundry information as a printed guide in the room... that would help (if these are available). The hotel is very picturesque, whether from the room balcony, by the pool, the restaurant, the beach, or the surrounding area. When there are no parties at the neighboring hotel, it is also wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Also, thanks a lot to Yeşim for a great present from the hotel: Mavilim shopper and turtle toy for our baby. That was so kind and we appreciate it so much! I did write some things in "didn't like section" but please take them as a side-view on what can be done better. We enjoyed our vacation at Mavilim!

Most of what follows is minor and, importantly, fixable for free through better processes. I’d close my eyes to one or two things, but there were too many. The biggest frustration was room service. Zero complaints about the ladies themselves. The rooms were tidied really well. But the timing is completely unpredictable. We were rarely in, yet every time we returned from the beach (11, 12, even 16:30) it still wasn’t done, so no shower or nap. With a set schedule you can plan to be out; here you can’t. They also sometimes forgot to restock water, coffee or tea, once took a duvet without replacing it, then brought a single instead of a double, and once left the bin lid on my hat. We requested a quiet room, but Wed/Fri/Sat from 20:00 to 23:30 a nearby club is very loud. You barely hear it from the lobby or pool, but inside the room it feels like the party is with you. Credit to the team: they offered a room change (we declined to keep our view) and asked the club to lower the music. Still, we were told parties are “unexpected,” yet we learned the schedule in two weeks. Other things: beach club sunbeds are “for guests” but can be reserved by people who never show. The pool water was warm, though we often noticed leaves and chlorine granules on the bottom. WiFi only works in the lobby, so we used our own 5G. Breakfast is vegan, which you only learn from reviews, not the hotel, with little variety; cutlery and napkins are often not set out and it’s unclear where to get them. Great potential, held back by details that cost nothing to fix.

Location, location, location. The beach was fantastic but the staff was the real differentiator.
