The property is not bad but after I paid I was sent a message that checking starts around 3pm next day and the washroom doesn’t have water to flush.. it’s really a waste of money and I will never go there again
Everything about the property
9.0 / 10.0
Easy access close to railway station and easy to get a bus/metro
A lift that worked and great staff to help you
Sheets pure Cotton and real class
Heating good and overall water/shower good
Overall an old fashioned hotel
The price was too expensive

Right next to the Eurostar station. There was an excellent bakers just round the corner. Not much else.
The room was fine if a little small and cramped, i.e. bed too small for two people and the shower was cramped. The staff barely had any English so was difficult to find things out from them. There was breakfast advertised but none was available on the first and third morning, when it was available it was barely adequate for two people. There was a dog sleeping in the small rest area which spent time begging for food. The Owner was anti british and was unwelcoming. A maid tried several time to come into the room whilst we were there and her reason was to give us coat hangers? The room was cleaned once but not very well.

Location
This was one of the worst hotel stays we’ve had. The property is in serious disrepair: broken door handles, a bathroom door that wouldn’t close, mould in the bathroom, a broken shower head spraying everywhere, a non-functioning soap dispenser, intermittent toilet flushing, and broken bedroom curtains. Even basic comfort was ignored — the pillows were unusable, one completely flat and the other rock-hard. Room service was chaotic and unreliable, sometimes not turning up at all and other times arriving at random hours. Hallways and stairwells were cluttered with dirty room service laundry, creating an unsafe environment. We were also forced to return keys on checkout, despite this not being mentioned in the booking. The hotel is poorly maintained, poorly managed, and not worth the money.

Only thing I liked: location
The front desk person totally rude and lack of ability to help. I arrived couple hours earlier and asked if by any chance there was a room for early check in and the guy in a very rude way said "don't you understand that check in is at 3pm " I reacted saying "ok I was just asking". The worst part was when I asked to leave my luggage while my time for check in was allowed. The front desk guy said I should have not brought luggage and that I could not leave it there even though I was waiting for my room. They asked me for money , with no proof that it was officially required for bags, especially when im waiting to check in. I have videos with his attitude and the manager simply said "I can't do anything , I don't speak English, I used the translator and the manager said "if I want I can cancel you reservation and you don't stay here". The front desk started saying things about my country of origin and it was a very disrespectful welcoming. When I finally had my room the shower was broken. Don't stay there.

Location, next to the train and metro station
A bit outdated, needs a renovation

You have 1 min walk to the Subway (main transport in Paris)
You have a lot of good food places around.
The hotel has very serious hygiene issues. All of the equipment in the room as well as in the hotel in general is extremely old, damaged or not working properly. There is a lot of dust, rust and mould on all the surfaces in the room and bathroom.
The bed sheets were clean.
Be aware of bed bugs!
Due to old reviews, we checked everything in the room. Bed bugs were spotted under the bed. We changed the room.
The WLAN signal is weak and often drops out.
The windows are not soundproofed. You can expect to hear a lot of street traffic and police/ambulance sirens.
You will be required to leave a key with the hotel. Expect to see a lot of "suspicious people" on the streets around the hotel and railway station.

The toilet was flushing all the time. The sink was clogged and they didn’t fix it when we asked. Weird fees and rules.

The location was nice and near to Maison Bayat the bakery and the gare du nord station.
The staff present at night was pretty rude whilst checking in! I understand we have to pay a city tax, for some reason the machine didn't accept my card and then the receptionist didn't have a change for 50 euros, you're catering for tourists, this much should have been a norm to have at your counter and the attitude was very rude, sorry not acceptable!

Not much to like about the property. Only thing I liked was it was right by the train station, but the outside of the station at night is very sketchy and dangerous so I didn’t like that
First off, there was NO A/C. Not even a fan in the room to make it at least a little bit cooler. When it’s 80-90 degrees in the summer, it is absolutely miserable to sleep in. The workers are also extremely rude to customers. Even though you pay to stay there, they make you pay 5 dollars to store luggage there, even if only for a couple hours. There is also no bathroom in the lobby, which was annoying. When we first arrived in our room, there was hair on the bed, and it seemed like the sheets had not even been changed. One of the days when we were in our room, they decided to shut off our electricity, so we had to go back downstairs to ask them to turn it on, which was incredibly annoying. Other things to mention, you have to pay extra for breakfast, and they make you leave the keys before you leave for the day, so sometimes when you return you are waiting 5-10 minutes just to get your key back to go in your room. The outside of the hotel is also very dangerous. Every night when we came back there were people getting arrested, and we felt very unsafe in the area. There is also no mini fridge in the room, so enjoy drinking hot water each night. Yes the place was cheap, but spend a bit more and stay somewhere better. NOT WORTH THE PRICE

Very reasonable price for the centre of Paris. Location is excellent, being right next to Gare du Nord and the Metro.
Housekeeping was great!
Security was an issue. Room keys are to be handed into the reception. This itself is no problem, however when returning to the hotel in the evening and asking for our keys, they were handed out without even asking who we were. This made us very uneasy, thinking that strangers could gain access to the rooms.
Hospitality was also lacking. Staff also did not allow a visiting friend to come up to our room to use our toilet and were unaccommodating. It was not explained why this was a problem and we found it thus to be unnecessarily pedantic.

We had a view of the Eiffel Tower out the west window so we could see it sparkle at night. The bathroom tub and shower were excellent. The hotel manages to do a lot with its tall, thin architecture. The breakfast croissant was very good. There was a small supermarket across the street. Getting to the Eurostar train the next morning was a one minute walk.
We had to open the windows because of the hot weather so we heard noise from the busy street below.

Located across from station. Free wi-fi, but didn't trust it enough to use it.
Staff behaves odd, room was dirty, trash can had stuff from previous tenant in it, beneath the bed wasn't cleaned, bed cover resembled a rag, bathroom was completely disgusting. Think open/unfinished ceiling, dust/dirt falling down, there was even a toothbrush up there for who knows how long. Inconvenient layout and looks much more spacious in the pictures. I am skinny and could barely get into the shower. The door doesn't lock on its own; you have to lock it with a key or someone can just push it to open. No isolation, so you hear everything. And the way staff behaved, like they were surprised to have a guest at all. When you need a shower after a shower, you know it's bad. Didn't even spend the night there.

I am Naomi Ediru. I'm extremely disappointed in my stay here. I feel deceived from the online description and photos.
I only saw the hotel as a 2 star hotel but that shouldn't excuse poor customer service.
The breakfast was a croissant and a coffee. Very disappointing excuse of a breakfast.
Although the city tax was explained I presumed it would be included I. The price due the amount.
I was also expected to
Pay for
Luggage storage for 2 hours.
No fridge in my room. Or ice offered or water offered for the room. In this weather it would've been a good gesture.
My sink was blocked and I politely asked
Them to come and have a look asap, but the receptionist insisted to
Wait another day for
When house keeping due.
Unacceptable as I needed the sink to brush my teeth and it was blocked.
I also had an accident and requested the to conveniently house keep to ensure glass wouldn't be a hazard.
It wasn't cleaned up well and there was still glass in the room. 57 to be precise.
To ask to where I can store food seemed a problem.
I didn't appreciate being dismissed by the elderly receptionist although the previous employee on shift insisted that a member of staff on duty can assist me with using the microwave
I also came back from a night out and rang the doorbell. The first time the matured receptionist intentionally ignored us at the door for at least 10 minutes assuming I wasn't a customer.
The second instance he was fast asleep on duty.
As a solo traveller it was extremely inappropriate for a member of staff to request my contact details and tell me not to inform anyone about their unprofessional invite to their house.
In the morning of my leave. I requested for storage for my two bags from 12-1:30pm as my train.
Disappointed that I explained I was extremely disappointed In the service I received. From the room to the 'breakfast' the aloof service.

Location
Very small room. Also I mistakenly booked the wrong date a few months ago. Tried many times to speak to staff at hotel to change date and they would not do it. I finally booked the next night .. as very close to Gard du Nord spoke to reception . Still did not receive my money back. I think this was poor service. As I communicated with them many times by phone and email. I still feel I should be reimbursed for one night . Will not recommend the hotel.

I liked how friendly the night staff was!
I know cleanliness in a place so tight on space is hard but I wish it was a little cleaner, in the lobby, stairs and room.

No aircon / heater in the room.

It's in the centre and very near the Gare du Nord train station.
It's a cheap hotel so I did not expect luxurious hotel. It's old hotel and need to improve their facilities especially the food for the breakfast.

The shower wasn’t well equipped, in fact the shower door was broken. And the room key door couldn’t close properly.

There were not enough sockets especially by the toilet. The shower is too small.

you cannot beat the location of this hotel. right across the street from Gare du Nord. the staff were courteous. they have a lift. the room and bathroom were clean. price is fair.
there is no air conditioning and they do not provide ( rent) a fan or anything. if you are traveling to Paris during the summer months it might be very hot in the room. the shower cubicle fills up with water when you are having the shower quit a bit.

The location - proximity to Gard du Nord station and Metro stations.
We booked a twin room but they gave us a double - two women friends. They moved us to a room with a toilet that wouldn't flush and expected us to use a toilet two floors down. They moved us the following to another room. The housekeeping staff was extremely rude the following day when we asked for a clean towel. The staff refused to take our word that things were not up to standard.
8.0 / 10.0
The room was cosy and pleasent to return to.
there is a couple nice breakfast places nearby.
right next to gare du nord train station so arriving at night from the train was easy.
The bed was uncomfortable due to a sink in the middle.
There was no kettle in the room.
The location was a bit sketchy, the stuff warned us to hold our belongings tight while outside in the evning.

Location
Probably the worst hotel I have ever been: pillows smelled like sweat, main room light was not working, sink was not draining water properly, one of the wall plugs was dangerous as it was coming out of the wall when unplugging, hair drier not working, soap missing in the shower (we told the staff but they put it only on the last day), shower was missing half of the door, elevator didn't work for half of the stay
4.0 / 10.0
Location
As we were about to check out the elevator did not work and inspite of seeking help from the front desk, they were not willing to give a helping hand and we had to move our suitcases all through the 6 floors through the spiral staircase. Not the best experience by any standard.

location is okay when you are arriving late night at Gare du Nord.
room was very hot. shower very small, bed very low. also as it is an old building you could hear all night long if someone is using their shower or flushing the toilet

I’d like the location of the hotel. And the shops around the area. It was also close to the transportation.
Well, our door did not open. We were locked in the handle wouldn’t turn. An employee even had to get involved once finally out they said they’ll have someone check in the morning. We had to sleep one night with the door semi-open, so that we wouldn’t get locked in the room again. There was no solution offered and no discount offered for the inconvenience. They don’t hold your luggage. The room is really small. The heat doesn’t work . The blankets I saw had blood on them. The Wi-Fi is horrible. You tell the staff the problems and they just have no idea what they’re doing.
