Great food, and character. Pretty garden & grounds.
Room was a little on the chilly side.

Great location - near the Loire and close to good towns, great villages and awesome chateaux !!! The grounds - perfect for a country stroll and relaxation. The friendly staff. The great room.
The complete lack of internet reception anywhere - room, reception, .... - this put a real spoiler on our stay as you are in the countryside and it would have been nice to have had some entertainment for the evening.

Excellent in all respects.
As an hotelier/restaurateur I love this kind of proprietor run hotel.
It is in a very quiet location, convenient for tourism, or relaxing in the grounds, or by the very well maintained swimming pool area.
Well designed, comfortable, bedrooms, and bathrooms.
Air conditioning!
Helpful, welcoming, and efficient staff.
There’s a bistro dinner menu on Monday and Tuesday. The rest of the week it is a menu gourmand. The choice is good, and the food delicious on each menu.
This is a good idea. There are children’s options on both. The restaurant staff are very helpful with this.
Unlike some “gourmand” restaurants this one is delightfully unpretentious in ambiance.
Breakfast offers a good choice; including an egg boiler. Big plus.
This is not a chain hotel. It has a delightful atmosphere, there are many personal, well thought out touches.
It’s a great place whether you’re on your own or with children.

The property was fine, our room was the issue. We reserved a grand comfort room with pool view. We ended up with basic room with car park view!
See room issues above. Also the dinner was overpriced and very slow service.
The property not close to any pretty villages or towns.

5* for surroundings, forest, lake, silance, the large parking area. Quick access by car to the castles.
2* for the ground floor room (permanent unbearable smell, poor cleaning service), for the quality of food at the restaurant, for wifi. Uninvolved staff...zero customer experience....

Lovely pool and duplex family room.

Coffee and tea difficult to make . Scrambled eggs inedible. Fruit good
Tea or coffee served at the table rather than queuing for very poor coffee .

Quiet and beautiful location. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Air con very effective. It was 36 degrees plus and our room was very cool.
Food was superb. Shout out to Isobel and Loki who were brilliant. The front of house team also wonderful and couldn’t do enough to make our stay so lovely.

Nice country hotel in the right place for visiting the chateau of the Loire valley. Very friendly staff, ground floor rooms available and few steps then to access retaurant, pool etc. Swimming pool not heated but stays warm in good weather due to cover. Lots of outside seating and loungers. Nice restaurant, pricey for the standard of food but certainly acceptable. Bathroom had shower over the bath but there are rooms with walk-in showers available. Flat entrance from own parking area. No bar as such but you can order drinks from a menu in the seating areas and lounge and the staff will bring them to you.
Slightly undercooked chicken which was still pink and firm inside when it shouldn't have been. Apology given but no offer of removing this from the bill. To be fair, I had eaten about two thirds of it, the bits that were cooked through! Not great though.

Attached restaurant was excellent. Shower didn't drain well.
Door lock to room was very difficult to open/lock. Our room had outside entrance and main hotel was locked up till 730am when staff arrived.

Breakfast OK, it would have been preferable to have been served tea/ coffee . Tea very weak .
Excellent waiter service for dinner.
Nice pool
Very limited dinner menu that didn't change over the week

Our room was comfortable with a lovely little courtyard that we made use of. We ate at the bistro equivalent for dinner as the restaurant was closed on the night we were there and the food was still good despite that. We loved the pool which we made use of several times during our stay. Staff were friendly and accommodated our desire to play cards and have drinks from the bar.
It's a pity that the restaurant was closed on the night that we were there.

The location is great to explore Loire on bike. The hotel itself has a huge woodland. I did my little parkrun there. The staff are extremely helpful.
The Resterant was expensive. Food was nice.

Staff service was very good, and they were very flexible to ensure that the room met our needs. The food was good if expensive.
The hotel was not well set up for people with mobility issues, though efforts were made to overcome the problem, a lift to the upper floors would have been good. The road to the hotel was in poor condition.

Seems like a nice place with good potential. But if you feel an unwelcome smell dont stay there
There was an un bearable smell all over the hotel.
The room we got was not sutabl for staying due to the bad smell
An alternate room we got once we understood this place was not sutable for sleeping was infiriore and not as ordered.
Wifi internet was poor

We had two different cabins (Cottage with Garden View and Family Bungalow); both were very pleasant and comfortable, having charm of wood and clean, modern aesthetic at the same time.
Nice, calm area, far from the noise of the towns, but just a car trip to Chaumont, Blois and Chambord castles.
One of the best breakfasts we had on our journey; healthy and varied; plenty of local and freshly made stuff.
Very helpful owners. They will move your luggage with a golf-cart whenever needed.
Would be very happy to stay there again.
When it rains, you face a kind of cleaning disaster. The path to the cabins turns into strange orange mud; the doormat is completely soaked; and the cabin itself is basically just a room (with en-suite bathroom). There is no hall or any separate space, where you could take your shoes off. You just open the door and you are in the room, not far from the bed. So before you manage to close the door and take the shoes off, you have plenty of mud on the wooden floor. I didn't see any specific solution in the cabin (for example, a mop) that would help you.

Friendly and accommodating staff; excellent food, set in a lovely woodland area. My son was travelling in a camper van and the hotel obliged us by allowing him to park in their car park enabling us all to have a lovely family meal together
