St Magnus Bay Hotel

This hotel was particular: from the outside it looks like a big facility but inside it's like a family-managed place with a bar for the locals as well. The structure has "historic hotel" vibes all over, including in the rooms where I could even find a Bible copy (rare in Europe!) - the room was large, including the bathroom, with a very comfy bed with properly-sized pillows for once. Good WiFi and lovely staff, even gave me a free postcard! Great stay, worth the price considering the remote location.

I found spiders both in the bedroom and the bathroom and, well, they gross me out! I wish there was a charger near to the bedroom... Well, actually there is, but the bed covers it!

Nice spot on the margins of a small village. Adequate parking and my upgraded room had a sea view. Hotel facilities generally good, staff solicitous and efficient. Very good breakfast; and a good selection available for dinner.

Nothing - apart from the weather, but that wasn't the hotel's fault.

We loved everything about it. The owners were lovely and friendly. The food was delicious. The views from our room were stunning. It was a perfect few days away.
