MyCiti Hotel Kuala Lumpur - formerly known as Citin Hotel Masjid Jamek

At checkin, the hotel had already printed my real name and surname on their records to override the name that Agoda by default takes from my email address. The hotel had also remembered that I like two keycards: one to open the door, and another to keep the room cool (lights off) when I return from shopping. On my last visit, the hotel already had it prepared for me in the keycard folder at checkin. I hadn't asked them for this in advance. It's just the management providing a personalised service :).

I had already reviewed MyCiti Hotel last year on Agoda: "“Gem worth searching for” I like staying in this area, because it's calm and peaceful. The staff here are very friendly, and I think that adds to the sense of respect I noticed the quests have for their surroundings when they checked in. I bring my own hairdryer, so adding one would be a minor improvement to the room. I always appreciate the free tea/coffee with milk and sugar provided. I love their bathroom because it's very relaxing and the atmosphere reminds me of the hotel when I first went to Philippines 10 years ago." In addition, sometimes the WiFi on certain days goes off intermittently (but not on all days). I haven't been able to identify a pattern whether it is my particular device, or certain rooms, or just happens during busy days to all rooms. It isn't a problem for me personally, except for my email notification program, which I will have to rewrite sometime. I don't use the internet to stream videos, which could be a problem for some guests when the net cuts out. The important fact for me is the upload/download speed is super quick on all floors irrespective of whether this connection issue occurs. The solution requires a manual click on the WiFi symbol on my laptop, and reconnection occurs within less than 10 seconds. It's just a small inconvenience. Besides, there is always WiFi available in reception as a backup plan. It's a very comfortable atmosphere in reception, and I am 100% sure the hotel would accomodate any guest's specific needs including a room change, if available. I have a small suspicion that the internet connection might be a KL-wide problem. For example, the internet in another hotel on the following day was also poor, so it might not be something MyCiti has the agency to solve. Regarding room cleanliness, 4/5, I always appreciate the early checkin.

Breakfast item was very limited.

The description of accomodation was two twin beds. When you could have simply said two single beds. Also very unclean underneath the beds. Washroom was wet. And hot water not hot enough.
