Great experience, recommended stay

- The hosts are so nice. The girl in the breakfast dining room is adorable. - Nice room with very comfortable bed. - Very good central location.

- Breakfast could have been a bit more various, but otherwise okay. - The elevator is so small that only one person can enter. - The bathroom door is a glass door, which is quite uncomfortable.

Great location to where we needed to be

My booking.com filter search was for parking as we hired a car from the airport, i didn’t check the small print that it was off street parking and as the hotel is in a busy area there was no off street parking - there was however a very good underground car park on the next corner which offered very good daily rates but wasn’t great trying to unload 3 cases and bags!

A charming century-old hotel in a great location.

This is a beautiful, very classy 100 year old hotel, thoroughly renovated but keeping the old style charm. It is located very close to the incredible new Venizelos subway station/museum. Big comfortable rooms and nice staff. A special mention goes to the lady taking care of the breakfast area. She was extremely helpful and polite.

The only negatives stem from the hotel age. You have to take the stairs to the elevator which is very small and fit for only one person with luggage. This is why my rating is an 8 instead of a 9. However the staff will help you with carrying the luggage up the stairs. Just be prepared to climb stairs.

good location in the city centre and bus stop close by, 20min walk to the train station. Staff was friendly and helpful

Having a shower meant flooding the whole bathroom because the drain was blocked. The hotel is simple, run down, moldy and old. Very uncomfortable hard bed. If you don't need a high standard, go for it as it's rather cheap compared to others.

We loved our stay!

The hotel was a pleasant surprise, located close to the city center and the port, with spacious and beautifully furnished rooms, super comfortable beds, daily cleaning, and all the comforts you need. The staff was very friendly and eager to help with anything you need. We had a wonderful time and I highly recommend staying here!

The bathroom was very small, but it was a minor inconvenience that didn’t take away from the enjoyment of our stay.

Very attentive staff and although the room and bathroom are small they have all the amenities.

A great location to stay in the centre of Thessaloniki, a short walk to bars and the seafront.

Absolutely loved staying here, the property was 100 years old, and I loved the retained beauty. We had a triple room which had plenty of room, a balcony overlooking the street below. The hotel was quiet, super friendly staff, clean and in a great location in the city centre. Breakfast was simple but adequate - coffee was really nice. Must add that the hotel let us check in early which was amazing!

The rooms are very clean and modern designed with the touch of vintage. The hospitality at the reception was on the highest level. They have a lobby that came in hand for relaxing and drinking coffee. I highly recommend Nea Metropolis hotel!!!

Location was EXCELLENT! Room was big and quiet, comfortable. Breakfast could be better, very ordinary and without any variety. I will consider this hotel again, since it is really "value for money".

Amenities were poor. TV has just one English channel only (Aljazeera), and several Greek ones. The "shower hanger" was damaged and it could not hold the shower, and they did NOT fix it, despite the fact that I complaint it on the first day and stayed for four days.

Pleasant

The room was spacious and nice looking, the location excellent and the staff were really nice and pleasent to talk to.

THE NOISE IN THE HOTEL WAS UNBERABLE, even if the guests are the source of the noise the hotel should do something about it. . Bareilly slept the 2 nights. The rooms were great but the sound isolation was more than lacking.
