Apartahotel La Espadaña

NIce hotel in a quiet location on the edge of the town of Rota. Its a short drive into town or there is a bus every half an hour from just outside. The beach is a short 5 minute walk through a pine forest. We had a small apartment with living space, bedroom, terrace & a small kitchen. Everything was spotlessly clean but the kitchen is pretty basic, not really designed for full meal cooking, with only a microwave & 2 rings. The hotel has a American style Tex Mex restaurant which was not to our taste, they also serve breakfast which we didnt have. There are other restaurants within a short walk. Hotel is pet friendly with dog bed & water bowl provided. There is plenty of free street parking and the hotel also has secure gated parking area for €9 a night.

Checking in. Even though we were the only people checking in, it took half an hour of form filling by us & keyboard bashing by the male receptionist. I had paid in full through the booking.com app but even so, the receptionist insisted on having my card number, expiry date & CVV number to "check with his records", something that I was entirely unhappy about.
