The hotel is located on the hill, about 10 minutes drive from La Spezia and offers free on-site parking, which was - as I was traveling by car - an important factor. I've been traveling for about 30 years, and I have never met hotel staff being so kind, helpful and efficient as in this hotel. One night there was a soccer game in La Spezia, which I was not aware of, and all the restaurants in the town and close by were booked, even food delivery was extremely slow (about 1,5-2 hours waiting time). When it seemed that I will be left with no dinner that evening, the lady at the reception went above and beyond to help me find a place to eat, and she even offered to share her own dinner with me!!!!! šŸ˜
There is nothing to complain about. Only some tiny, unimportant details: I got the last available room, a room for 3. The interior is very simply, a little outdated, the bathroom is tiny, cramped (hard to imagine 3 people sharing), but the bed is comfortable, and to me that's what matters. The room has a large, sunny terrace that is shared with the gust of the other rooms. Breakfast is good, although it would be nice to see some other options than the usual sweet Italian breakfast, e.g. some fresh greens (tomato, lettuce, etc.), scrambled eggs, etc.
