HORRIBLE

excellent position

Our room was in another building, on the 3rd floor without an elevator and no electricity in the room, we complained to the reception and the answer was to sleep there without electricity and they would change our room the next day, why do you offer a room for rent if I know it has no electricity? The next day they changed our room to a better one but where you couldn't sleep because of the smell of the cesspool coming from the bathroom, horrible. Maximum 2 stars for this hotel

Outstanding comfort and service - very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was superlative - best meal of the week in Nice region

Very little - we anticipated some noise from the air traffic and road, but neither were audible from the room.

Enjoyable time spent at the hotel with parking available.

The situation was particularly good and staff were helpful and attentive.

Room 208 had a very unusual bathroom set up with steps up into it and the door was ill fitting and hard to close. The room itself was ok although no mirror at the dressing table where I would have liked to do my makeup. The outside terrace was nice.

Relaxing holiday on the esplanade with a balcony view

Fantastic view and location, very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Would specifically book room 37 again. Hotel and grounds were lovingly landscaped (butterflies and flowers). The whole town area is undergoing natural regeneration of its waterways and parks. Staff very busy, but professional and helpful. Cagnes sur Mer is a great location to travel out to Antibes, Nice, St Paul de Vence, and Grasse, all conveniently via train and bus routes. It's also a super-chilled area to relax: walk, swim, dine, and shop. Great markets near St Pierre Chapel.

Fascilities - the rooftop restaurant/bar was closed, and there were lobby refurbishments at the time. This is a shame, as the rooftop bar/dining is a big selling point, but the hotel listing was clear about the period when it would be closed.

Location was great

Everytime the next room slammed the door which was everytime, it shook our walls !! Our bed was against the wall and the vibration went thru the bed too!! The bed was pushed into a corner so you couldn't walk down either side 1 person had to climb over. Room wasn't cleaned 1 day so no clean towels, also no clean cups or glasses and no detergent or dishcloths etc to clean them ourselves. The room had a self catering kitchen in it but we were told it's not in use!! Sink tap to fill kettle etc was nearly completely blocked and only dribbled out . Staff not very accomadating when asked for clean towels and clean cups when the room was meant to be cleaned daily. They said if we were going out for a while they would get the cleaners to come in and do our room but that didnt happen either!! Also bathroom was not cleaned properly when we checked in. Shower drain was blocked so shower flooded everytime. Outdoor furniture not clean either. Quite disappointing.

Friendly and welcoming staff. A minute walk from the see. Rooms were clean. Modern bathroom.

We had to change room after one night, but we received an upgrade. In the room there were coffee pads, but no coffee machine.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in!!!!!!

Sad to say only the view. The rest was a disaster

Air con did not work for the first 2 days. No hot water for the second 2 days. Balcony was dirty. Water and coffee never got replaced. The list goes on. Anyone thinking of staying here…….DON’T it’s a bloody disaster. The photo I’m showing is after our room had been cleaned. Oh should mention no fire escapes and the fire doors on the landings are wedged open 24 hours a day. Totally awful hotel.

ita was a rainy week end so there was little opportunity to walk around.

I liked the premises, the scenery and the staff, very friendly. The room was nice and overlooking the sea, but just a little small; the bathroom on the other hand wasn't very appealing as it didnt appear very clean (the odor wasn't pleasant at all). There was an espresso maker, a kettle and a fridge. Parking space just by the entrance. Everything pretty much as described prior to booking. The location is top, no shortage of bistrots, caffeteria, restaurants...

For a 4 stars hotel, they should definitely improve a lot the conditions.

The location was quite good, although it was raining all the time and we could not enjoy it. But the location is perfect.

The photos don't correspond to the room we were assigned. It was an old fashioned room with cigarettes smell what was quite unpleasant and the clean was not good also. A lot of dust everywhere and near the fridge it´s quite dirty. There was no hairdryer also.

The Royalmar is superbly located, it is a true pleasure that the hotel is almost waterfront, so close to the beach. Great location for cyclists, joggers, roller skaters. Also, in that area it is important that it has a car park. Although the sea view rooms overlook the busy coastal road, the balcony doors block the noise of traffic and in the evening sitting on the balcony for a nightcap is a big plus. I appreciated the hotel restaurant, the bar and the outside terrace with sea view. The staff are very pleasant and helpful

The location was our main reason to book.

Disappointing... But we were warned in other Booking comments. Room is dated. The bathroom needs a good cleanup to remove all the mouldy silicon or black tile joints, not very welcoming... It was not particularly clean (hairs on floor and in bath). Huge bath and sink (bunged up!) and also a shower (large gaps in shower doors so water all over the floor after a shower). Big bathroom but no room to move in the bedroom. Window in bedroom stuck, only one side opens. Bed was worse for wear, sagging in the middle. Sorry, but I agree this is not worthy of four stars, hardly two. A pity,

After an owful start with a very unwelcoming recepionist, lucky for me, the manager stood up and handled my problem, helped alot, I stayed 3 extra nights, and got the room I was expacting, In the building I was expecting. Resturant is amazing

nice location, wonderful room but a little bit unpersonal

it was a nice place near to the boulevard and the sea. The room had a wonderful view on the sea and was tastefully furnished.

But the reception was terrible. it took at least half an hour before they could help us. The restaurant had nothing to do with the hotel but the next morning our breakfast was in the restaurant. so we didn’t feel very welcome and well served.
