Wonderful stay with a truly festive touch

We had a wonderful stay and would like to express our appreciation for the excellent experience. The spa facilities were very well maintained and provided a relaxing and high-quality experience. The staff was extremely attentive, kind, and always willing to help, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. We especially appreciated the great level of service and genuine care shown toward guests. A lovely surprise was the beautifully decorated Christmas tree in our room, which created a warm and festive atmosphere. The friendly Santa Claus visit was a delightful touch, especially memorable and charming. Thank you for the professionalism, attention to detail, and hospitality. We would be happy to return and highly recommend this hotel.

However, there are a few points we feel could be improved. Unfortunately, there was no heating in our apartment during the stay, despite requesting assistance twice. Additionally, after the first room cleaning, we received towels that were torn and visibly worn, which was unexpected given the overall standards of the hotel. Breakfast was good and enjoyable; however, we believe a bit more variety would further enhance the experience. We share this feedback constructively and hope it will be helpful, as the hotel has great potential. Thank you for your hospitality, and we wish you continued success.

Exceptional service, wonderful hotel by the lake

Excellent breakfast and exceptional service by all the staff. We managed to get an upgrade on our room which was an added bonus. We enjoyed using the spa which was really lovely. The Christmas market stalls started right in front of the hotel and meandered up along the shops. To top it off, it started snowing which was unusual for Nov. A magical stay.

There staff was excellent. Friendly, helpful and efficient. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and offers a huge variety for all tastes. Parking was convenient, the location could not be better.

I was not a big fan of the shower. I found it a bit inconvenient and hard to get in/out. The mattress was conmfortable but definitely on the soft side. I would have wished for a pillow-chocolate at turn-down-service

A superb hotel located in a beautiful town, a great destination for family trip

A superb hotel with an excellent view of Worthersee lake, also include a 2-star Michelin restaurant. There are 3 swimming pools, indoor and outdoor, and also one next the lake, you can also choose to swim in the lake. There are other water activities but we don’t have enough time to experience. The family suite is very spacious, can easily fit a family of 4.

The in-room dining menu choices are very limited, we went to an Italian restaurant next door for takeaway pizza and pasta.

The location is great, the room was interesting, staff was really nice, overall its an okay hotel and a great destination.

Breakfast is not practical and the staff there was not as good as the hotel staff. The food is too far away and my partner has stomach issues that lasted for whole trip after the breakfast, which was not ideal. The room was too hot and the climate control didnt work properly, also the remote control for TV didnt work and the room had a lot of dust.

She had no problem going the extra mile to ensure guests were satisfied. After our stay at the hotel, we can state the same for all staff members. Falkensteiner Schlosshotel Velden is a textbook example of top hotel service and a source of inspiration for all hotels developing their luxury offer. The Aquapura SPA Wellness Centre stretches a staggering 3600 square metres and is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious in this part of Europe. A rich offer includes an indoor and outdoor pool, a panoramic sauna in the garden and a relaxation space with water beds and a SPA cinema. Falkensteiner Schlosshotel Velden is absolutely one of the most prestigious hotels within the Falkensteiner portfolio. Similarly to a world-class athlete, it faces the task of beating its own standards and thus retaining its spot among the best in the hotel industry. When we last evaluated the hotel, the Falkensteiner hotel group had only started managing it. Today, it is in peak performance and is ageing almost as well as the finest Bordeaux wines. The hotel has stood the test of time, considering fifteen years have passed since the last substantial investment. Is the hotel the flagship of tourism in Carinthia? Undeniably. We visited the hotel for the second time because we liked it so much the first time. It was just as good as the first time. The staff is very nice, the breakfast and the foods in their restaurant are excellent, the spa is also great, the beds are very comfortable. We highly recommend it both in winter and summer!
