Perfect stay in the Bavaria

Perfect resort in Bavaria ensuring total relaxation & also quite close to a lot of activities & sightseeing places in the region. Staff was very helpful from the very first day upon arrival giving info & details about the stay & surroundings. Ideal for a group of friends & families as there are alot of facilities for the kids. Food was amazing as well

In the evening we had a bit of issues with language barriers when ordering food at the restaurant. We do not speak German & most of the restaurant staff did not speak English. I understand that it might be not so many english speaking tourist come by, but then an english food menu was offered so I guess English knowledge by the staff could help.

Good but place for improvement

The placement is great - good trips and playgrounds just few minutes drive from the hotel. The apartment was nice and the pool area was great.

The food - dinner was boring and not impressive. The breakfast was fine but way too expensive. The cleaning should be more often than once a week! The massage waiting-room and treatment room should have a big upgrade so it matches the rest of the spa style. Cause the massage is AMAZING!

Hungry games…

1. Nice location 2. Clean, comfortable apartment 3. Different activities for children and adults 4. Tasty breakfast

1. Check-in only after 16:00. Too late in my opinion. 2. The restaurant. Menu for lunch was very limited. Nothing to eat for children. Green salad, cheese plate, flammkuchen, dessert. In the evening we didn’t have opportunity to have table in restaurant. It was fully booked ( only available in the late evening but our little children have to sleep this time). And you can’t order “to go menu” because it’s possible to do only before 17:00 with special guest App. Nearest village had not so much restaurants and they were also overcrowded. A very frustrating experience. ( At the end we grabbed take away pizza in the village). It was the same story next day. But now we knew about menu to go and had time to order it. We were lucky they let us in for breakfast. In conclusion, I can say that we didn't like constantly worrying about meals at the resort.

Beautiful apartment with view

Beautiful apartment, well located. Easy to walk into Oberstaufen. Restaurant and bar were lovely, with friendly staff. Loved the chair in our apartment overlooking the mountains.

It was still a beautiful weekend getaway despite of the bad weather.

A room with balcony and complete kitchen stuff, which we didn’t need it for our short staying, but definitely useful for family occasion.

The fact that the wellness facility is in different building, we didn’t find any snack machine when we got hungry in the middle of the night

Room and bathroom is way too small for a family of four

There are alot of facilities in this resort. It is suitable for young families with small children.

Most of the facilities are for young children so the older children 9 yrs old onwards might not enjoy the facilities. The breakfast is expensive for the limited variety. Coffee is not the best compared to other trips we have had. There is one coffee machine and there was a long queue. The placement of the food was not the best service experience. We need help to dispense the fruit juice as the jar was unstable and not accessible to children. The bedroom is small for a family of four, 3 adults and 1 child. The toilet is very small. We knocked on the heater and walls a few times. There are random furnitures in the room. The make shift bed is right beside the main door so imagine the jackets, dirty shoes and bags after hiking. We had to arrange some furnitures around to accommodate our luggages, hiking clothes and shoes. There is a old kitchen in our room which is a reminder of 'work' (personal opinion) so it is not relaxing. Overall the room is more suitable for a couple with 1 young child.

Nice stay

The place was perfect for a nice and relaxing weekend before our big trip to Austria. The oberstaufen plus card is a great plus. When we woke up the place was covered with snow which made it extra special. The room is pretty good and the beds are comfortable. The aquaria (to do with the oberstaufen plus card) is a great swimming pool.

The only catch with the oberstaufen plus card is that you can use one of the features per day.

Everything was great! Sauna and the pool. Oberstaufen plus card. Parking available just near the rooms. The restaurant, the bowling alley. Kitchenet in the room. Views and trails around.

If only there was more snow at time of our stay, so we could use the free ski pass... but its not hotels fault at all...

Exceptional view on mountains. Staff was very kind and flexible and agreed to change our family room for the chateau apartments with great view on mountains and after renovations.

Some rooms needs renovations therefore you need to be careful while booking and book the room with mountain view and after renovation.

Fab stay! We are hoping to come back.

Great apartment. It was very spacious and modern with a fantastic view. There were a lot of activities that could be done within the hotel (e.g. swimming, playgrounds, we booked the bowling alley on a rainy day etc). Additional to this the Allgeau Plus card /Oberstaufen Plus card was great and we pretty much did most of the activities on offer (e.g. using different cable cars, the toboggan run, crazy golf etc) thus we had plenty to do and the kids loved it.

Oberstaufen Plus Card included - allowing free access to many local "must do's", free WiFi, free parking lots, friendly personnel, nice swimming pool and Spa area, Oberstaufen is close by and easy to reach.

The room interior is slightly outdated, WiFi a bit slow (approx. 6 Mbit/s), the main parking lot is located a bit far away from the actual "room", the bread service as such is great but only delivers between 7.30 and 8.00, which is a bit late with children.

Amazing. Great facilities, free ski pass. Totally worth it!

Everything was great! Room was very nice and clean, bed was comfortable and all facilities were great. The spa was really pleasant and getting the Oberstaufen card (which saves a lot of money for the ski pass) was a cherry on top! I totally recommend! PS: About the card: you can only use it in one ski place per day, meaning when you decide on one of the 3 locations can only ski there for the whole day. We found Stebis to be the best for beginner/medium level of skill. And I would recommend to avoid Hochgrat - you can only ski there off-piste which is only good for pro skiers

Will do it again anytime

Been here multiple times already, it's the perfect getaway for a weekend trip with a combination of skiing and wellness! The hotel has a pool, jaccuzi and sauna & spa area and additionally offers you a "Oberstaufen Plus Card" which gives you free access to some ski lifts and the wellness waterpark nearby.

Nothing negative just a tip: If you book a "studio" make sure to bring some essentials for cooking like salt, a sponge and and dishwashing detergent.

great family destination with lots of options for kids

hotel upgraded us to a family suite for free which was spacious and comfortable. The resturant had good food and the pool was awesome with kids. you cannot walk to town or resturants easily from the hotel but there is plenty there to do with family.

heating didn’t work the first night elevator kept breaking down ans had to drag the luggage on the stairs

Very dog friendly

Calm place, great facilities and very dog friendly. The fact the property already connects with trails is also quite nice.

Especially because there is no cleaning service during the stay, the 25 euros per day for the dog felt a bit salty compared to our experiences in other hotels.
