Good spot right by the WW1 museum

Good location very near the war museum. Handy for shops, bars & restaurants but most were closed at this time of year. Great room with plenty of space, chairs & table. Good comms from hotel on day of arrival.

Bar wasn’t open in the evening. Had an “out of season” feeling. Peronne seems to close in the evening! Being fussy about our room, would have preferred a stand alone shower rather than one over a bath.

A lovely hotel in the centre of Peronne

The room was excellent, large with a kettle and teabags, but no spoon! The bathroom was also large with a good strong shower. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of places to put your stuff (desk, wardrobe, shelves, tables…). The reception shuts at 9pm, but the lady on reception called us to give us the door code and the code for the safe with our keys. The room was lovely and the hotel is ideally place for visiting the Historie de la Grand Guerre which is a couple of minutes walk away.

Although reception rang to make arrivals for our late arrival, during the day there was also rarely any staff around to ask questions/check out. Something to be aware of - There is free parking, but it is in the town square / side roads nearby and you need a disk and to move your car every 90 mins! The hotel itself is in a pedestrian zone. We didn’t have any problems with parking, but had thought from the listing that the hotel had its own parking.

Very nice stay in Péronne

Very comfortable rooms. Clean, newly remodeled, fans in every room, right in the town centre and excellent breakfast with home made cake by Erica. Absolutely recommend. We were lucky to get an excellent view of the hot air balloon championship. 32 in the air all at once!

Bring earplugs for the rooms to the front of the hotel above the Irish pub. It didn't bother us one bit, but it might bother others who can't sleep with earplugs. Don't trip over the top step of the stairs of the first floor where the rubber strip has come loose.

DO NOT STAY HERE. The bathroom did not lock and was broken. The door to the shower would stick and needed two people to open it. There was a giant spider and even bigger spiderweb in the room- when was it last cleaned? The bedsheets were itchy and stained. There was a party upstairs until 4/5 in the morning. When we asked them to be quiet they laughed and made more noise. They jumped and stamped on the floor. Noises were easily heard from rooms and could hear speaking. Gluten free bread was in between other breads with crumbs everywhere meaning contamination was easily spread. When this was politely explained (given we are Coeliac and eaten gluten free for more than 10years) we were told we were wrong. Complete rudeness and negligence on behalf of the hotel staff. When all this was shared privately with the hotel prior to this review - the hotel have not taken these comments seriously. Stay away and do not stay here is our recommendation.

Great place to stay in Peronne. Superb location in town centre.

Lovely hotel with great history. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. I travelled by bike and the staff were very helpful in securing it in the locked courtyard. Breakfast was in the lovely bar area and was good and plentiful.

OK for one night stop over on motorcycling tour of France.

Hotel was pleasantly presented in an old building with nice decor. Location is next to the chataux which holds the WW1 museum. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Resturant and bar were closed before 10 pm. No on site parking.

Great central location, close to restaurants & bars. Free parking outside in large square. Clean & modern with lovely outside area at back of hotel to enjoy a drink. Bedroom really clean & roomy with plenty of storage & hooks. Nice large windows that were easy to open for air. Lovely shower, easy to operate. Fantastic breakfast. Really fresh & so much choice. Coffee machine easy to operate.

There was no air conditioning in the room so we needed to keep the windows open for air. We were at the font of the hotel so could hear to banter from the bar & restaurant outside. It didn't bother us, as being a Wed night the noise had all but stopped by 11.30pm, but on a really hot weekend evening that could be a problem. The bath was very slippery at the shower end because the sides of the bottom of the bath dropped away, I think a warning sign about this would be good.

Twin room was large, light & clean. Good bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Excellent staff. Good central location for bars/restaurants/museum.

Hotel in a pedestrian area, so parking for cars is in public areas away from the hotel. We were told that there was was parking for motorcycles within the hotel at the rear. However, the entrance was very narrow and impossible to get a large touring bike through.

Modern hotel in an old building in the heart of town - street parking near by.

Characterful hotel, right in the centre of a lovely French town. Recommended as a stop on leaving Disneyland or on the way there. Great museum (Historial de la Grande Guerre) round the corner, set on a lovely pond with an excellent playground attached. The morning Saturday market is also worth going to, and there is a fine bakery a few yards away from the hotel. The hotel reception keeps slightly eccentric hours but we got in ok with instructions. Rooms spacious, clean and comfortable.

very pleasant personnel, efficient transaction, very quiet and clean establishment in an attractive town. Rooms delightful, breakfast plentiful and good variety of foods. Car parking in public areas but not a problem. We would stay at St Claude again if we had the chance.
