Mullerthal trail trip to Echternach

Set at the top of Echternach overlooking the hills with beautiful sauna facilities and swimming pools. Lovely views and sunsets from our room.

It was quite a hike up and down to the town for dinner. Our room was a little dated but comfortable.

The service, particularly of one person, who had an attitude, bad manners. But also with the lack of more people at the hotel, everything has to be done or asked at the reception

This is our favourite hotel in Luxembourg

Excellent classic hotel like they used to be. Lovely view from the balcony, large room with sitting area, comfy bed, excellent shower, excellent restaurant, friendly and welcoming staff, parking just outside, sauna facilities. Ticks all our boxes. We love coming here. Need I say more!

Perfect stay in comfort in the middle of natural beauty.

The hotel has an excellent wellness centre with exercisd room, squash court, finnish suna, pool, hammam (wet sauna). The surrounding area is very pretty: lake nearby, forrested hills.

The comforters were weird: small width, and heavy. It's summer, a simple sheet would have been better... The wellness sauna required a call to reception to start... why not put an on/off button?

Used to be excellent but staff problems clearly a major issue.

The hotel has fantastic facilities but the staff ( if you can find any) are clearly demoralised. Arriving at night and finding that the hotel restaurant and bar aren’t opening this year was not a good start.

Being given a list of restaurants in the town and being told to find them( no map or instructions. ) We booked because we had stayed before and it was excellent. Something is very clearly wrong.

Relaxing stay in Echternach

Family room was huge, the breakfast buffet excellent and had a nice view from the terrace. The indoor pool was big enough and the sauna was prepared on request.

Shame: mismanagement, not a drink available in the hotel on a very hot day!

Full of potential

Absolute mismanagement. We arrived after an 800 km roadtrip. Choose this hotel because of the outdoor pool. It was 30 degrees celcius outside, a very hot day. The pool was empty. And more important: there was no bar, restaurant or coffee corner open and there was NO DRINK available in the hotel. We were so thirsty! We had to jump into the car to go to Echternach village to buy a soda and a coffee. The was a tiny bottle of water in the room in a fridge that did not work and the room was very warm. There was obviously also no food available. They have a list with restaurants, but most of them were fully booked so we had to eat at the local snackbar in town. In the hotel was only 1 person present, the receptionist. A nice girl who knew nothing about the neighborhood, so couldn't give us any advice. The hotel was fully booked. If I was the manager or owner of this hotel I would be deeply ashamed to treat my guests this way. Such a shame! If the hotel would have their act together it would be a nice hotel. Its full of potential. What a shame.

Enchanting Luxembourg!

The location is really marvelous! In the morning, we enjoyed a buffet breakfast on the terrace, overlooking the lake and the town of Echternach. The sports infrastructure is also worth mentioning. If you would like to dine in the hotel, it is recommended to make a reservation on beforehand, but there are also restaurants in the neighborhood.

Exceptional

We opt for a family room with 2 grand-daughters. 2 large rooms with independent space with bathroom and television. Amazing view from the terrasse. Nice swimming pool and fantastic wellness installations with several sauna types in wooden environment.. We will return for enjoying dining outside and appreciatig the sauna without kids.

there are a beautiful view’s everywhere

- the rooms are very old - the spa was not working and there was no one on site who could turn on the saunas, although we rested on a day off. there were many visitors and no one could serve them - the price doesn’t correspond to the quality of rest in this hotel

my family absolutely enjoyed the stay

relaxing property to stay with family. stunning view from balcony and at breakfast. such spacious rooms are rare to find. staff was very helpful to accommodate our needs traveling with a small baby.

tea cups in our room were not properly cleaned. water in swimming pool could be refreshed more often since it’s quite heavily used

Nice but not good enough

The swimming pools are very nice. The rooms are big. The staff for the breakfast was good and quick.

It feels like a tourist trap. I think the owners just like to cash but they are not present at all. They just like money and their hotel and deteriorating quality of it is of no concern to them. many things in the wellness like a hammam and some showers in it were not working and there was no interest to fix it after we called the reception. We just waited but nothing was done about it and nobody came. I felt completely ignored here. The cleaning lady that came the first day did half of her job. She left the dirty glasses on the table and the full bin was still full after she left. She did not make up the bed. This is bad service for the price you pay. Also you can see many years of lack in overall maintenance in the hotel. Most things are just old and outdated. There were also many many wasps. I saw some wasp traps around the restaurant and pools. But they were completely full and nobody thought to replace them. It was not nice to eat or swim while these places were infested with these insects. They should pay more attention to these counter attacks daily! Breakfast is not at 4 star quality. Too many disappointing things here for the money you pay. The bar is always closed. But a pricelist was on the bar. Shameless prices were asked. No wonder nobody likes to sit there. The hotel reminded me of the movie the shining. It has the same look, but this movie is how old??

Beautiful place full of past splendour

Room size was great, pool and spa facilities were brilliant, staff very helpful

Breakfast choice was a little limited, but probably reflecting the past grandeur of the whole hotel. Beautiful place still but has not moved into the 21st century.
