Old-fashioned look-and-feel at a high price

Despite renovation, old-fashioned look-and-feel and some unaddressed maintenance problems. As a result: overpriced.

Nice premium hotel but could be improved.

Superb location and genteel ambience including a superb indoor cigar bar.

Front facing rooms suffer too much traffic noise and suggest the aging double glazing needs to be replaced. Would demand garden facing rooms which are much quieter from previous stays. Breakfast facilities do not match the premium experience of the hotel and staff need training on how to cook a soft-boiled egg - the chef failed miserably even after two attempts. Would avoid paying for the service in future.

We loved the location and their service. Everyone was super friendly and helpful which was great as we have arrived very late. They were also pet friendly which was the main reason why we picked this hotel.

A beautiful hotel with friendly and perfect service The room was lovely, immaculately clean and had everything we needed and more! Great shower, robes and a neat pull out drawer with in built plug sockets of every type - even night time floor lighting!

Did it represent good value? maybe not at the price point

The hotel itself is pleasant, room decently sized, but let down by blandness. The road noise was audible. Garage below useful if driving there, and the hotel itself well positioned. The gentleman at concierge was the highlight, a fountain of knowledge, wonderfully witty and charming. Having booked for a birthday getaway, it was disappointing that nothing was actioned to mark the occasion, when past hotels at this price point have made the effort. So, good place to stay for work if business is covering expense, but for an ordinary vacation away or to mark a special occasion? at this level there’s better to experience

Best location possible!

Amazing location right next to the park and the city centre, big rooms with comfy beds. We had our dog with us and they even left a little bed and bowl out for him, the room was very big so we had plenty of space.

Gym was slightly tired, although this is not a reason people come I guess! Just an observation in case people travelling like to work out.

Location, room size, and overall quality of the property. High end place with good staff.

Had a small issue with finding our luggage when we were leaving and almost missed train but that is also on me for not allowing more of a time buffer. All good in the end.

Nice location

I stayed at a hotel in Luxembourg City Centre and would describe the experience as just okay, especially considering it’s marketed as a 5-star property. The biggest advantage is the location—right in the heart of the city, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and key attractions. That was definitely a highlight of the stay. The staff was generally polite and professional, but nothing particularly stood out in terms of service. I’d call it “ok” rather than exceptional, especially when you expect a bit more at this level. The hotel itself felt a little dated and not as refined or luxurious as you'd expect from a 5-star rating. While it was functional, it lacked the charm or design you'd hope for in a high-end stay. Price-wise, I found it too expensive for what was offered. Adding to that, paying €17 per day for parking while already staying at a supposedly 5-star hotel seemed excessive—it felt like something that should have been included or at least more reasonably priced. Overall, the stay was fine, but the value for money just wasn't there. If you're paying 5-star rates, you should get a 5-star experience—and this fell short in a few key areas.

Great hotel except for the showers

Great hotel with very nice rooms and beds and outstanding staff

Terrible showers - unstable water temperature makes it very difficult and unpleasant to take a shower. Water cycles from cold to scorching hot repeatedly without touching the Faucette. My co-worker stayed at a different room on a different floor and had the same experience.

Room was really spacious and so well-equiped with lots of electrical and charging outlets, all light switches were labeled, and with nice bedlinen and toiletries. The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. It is conveniently located to all in Lux city and places to walk, etc.

Breakfast was expensive for the value, but so much is expensive in Lux, so perhaps on par. More fresh fruit please.

Professional well trained staff ensured that we had an excellent stay. The location of the hotel was perfect for access to the town and was easy to find when arriving by car. The pool was a great facility to relax by after a day's exploration of Luxemburg.
