Mala Villa

The staff was incredibly friendly and gave us a very warm welcome. They even prepared a delicious dinner for us shortly after the kitchen had closed. The next morning, they kindly organised enough petrol for our empty tank so we could continue our journey. Furthermore, the property features a huge balcony and magnificent, spacious terraces. Everything was spotlessly clean and highly functional. To top it all off, the view from the accommodation is absolutely outstanding.

We loved our stay at Mala Villa. The village is a very picturesque with amazing views out to the sea. The owner is so kind and welcoming. The room was large, comfortable, comfy bed, with an outdoor area for relaxing. The attached tavern is great! Highly recommend having a meal here and tasting lots of Cretan dishes with quality produce.

Beautiful location, great restaurant, and friendly people. We really enjoyed our time here.

We wish the showers had hot water, but the room warmer didn't get very hot in April :).

- Not welcoming host. At the check-in we were greeted by a lady who didn't smile at us once. A welcoming smile could go a long way. - Noise. The rooms are located above the local taverna (which was lively until 11-11.30pm) and just in front of a small road (yet, there was some traffic early in the morning). We were hoping for a quiet time in a remote place and the experience was the opposite. - Bathroom requiring works. Very weak water pressure, absence of shower curtain, draining in bathroom's sink is clogged. The room states to have jacuzzi, but I would be just happy with basic bathroom equipment working properly. Overall, we find that the value for money was very low (80eur per night). Better value for money can be easily found in Crete.
