Fully renovated beachfront condo in Gearhart, OR!
The primary bedroom has a new mattress that is a medium firm memory foam. Many guests love it and asked for information to purchase.
We are centered between Cannon Beach (10 miles south) and Warrenton/Astoria which is 10 miles north of Gearhart. Seaside is just 3 miles away and Camp Rilea for those coming to the area for training is only 7 miles north of our beautiful little town!
We chose Gearhart for its location on the beach and easy access to the beach cities north and south of us.
You’ll find Costco, Fred Meyer, Super Walmart in Warrenton just 10 miles away. Portland is just 1.5 hours.
Our home is one of few this close to the ocean and just steps to the water. There is a wonderful bakery and coffee shop that I love to walk to a few blocks away and if you love to play golf we have a beautiful upscale golf course just blocks away!

Everything was fine...the location is nice. 30yd walk down a sandy path to the beach. Gearhart is just out of the fray of Seaside, and there is a McMinimans 1 block away.
All was good... except for the beds. The owner needs to replace the matresses. Did not like the beds. You have to crawl out of a hole. Once changed we'd rent again.

The condo was exactly as it appears in the VRBO pictures - Clean, neat, updated and nicely furnished. With the 2nd bedroom and bathroom, we were able to have our son and daughter-in-law from Portland visit a few weekends during our 2 month stay.
The condo is in a wonderful location - "steps from the beach" and also steps to the walkable town of Gearhart.
We already have reservations for next year!

We found that the property was accurately presented in the pictures and information. We were good with the location and the property in general. There was a nice, large television.
There were some negatives:
Although we were staying for the full month, we found that most other renters were in and out in a few days.
There was no privacy off the patio area if our door was not closed.
The smell and taste of the water was unpleasant, so we had to buy bottled water for drinking.
The hot water supply was limited, so it was necessary to time showers and laundry around it.
The beds were not as comfortable as we would have expected for a 30 day stay. And there were no sheets to fit the smaller bed, so it was necessary to use larger sheets which was very annoying.
The electric was insufficient for the fans or heaters in the bathrooms to be running simultaneously which was inconvenient and annoying.
Our phones are on the AT&T network and we could not make or receive calls inside the condo.
The kitchen was sparsely stocked and all of the warnings about not doing anything to set off the fire alarm made us apprehensive about using the stove/oven.
