Montano Camping & Hostel

Excellent little hotel with nice rooms, parking and kitchen. We stayed in the family room with private bathroom and we thought it was really good value for money. It was very clean, our beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for all out stuff. The shower was nice, clean and hot. The parking is secure behind a gate and there was plenty of space for our motorcycles. The kitchen was nice and even if we did not use it much, many other guests did and nobody had any complaints. The location is central and it was easy to walk into town. There are also a few restaurants across the street, some are on the maps, some are not, but they were all good. At first glance it looked like it was a busy area, but it really wasn't and it got quiet at night. The area is also safe and I could easily walk alone without any issues. The owner also has a camp site on the premises, that is big enough for a few tents. The grassy area looked pretty flat and I am sure camping there would have been nice. The camp area has shared bathrooms, hot showers, wifi and areas to charge your phones, etc.

I could not have landed in a better place. I was picked up at the Quito airport by the host/owner for a 3hr suv ride for less than it cost by taxi. He met me in the middle of the night. The hostel has the most amazing view of a volcano and mountains. There was a secure yard for my dog. There was coffee ready for me every morning. The host speaks English and Spanish. He can hook you up with any activities in he Area. HE ALSO HOOkED ME UP WITH A DENTIST IN TOWN! The folks there are so very ,kind to me and my dog ! There are cook outs and Idigenous music provided BY Mr.Wilson. Shout out to Angie, Matias, Yeraldine, Carmen, Mr. Wilson and all the folks that keep that place running. ( They are clean freaks.....which makes the property nice). I am a sol.o female traveler. It is very safe and super kind. Thank you Fabrisio for an amazing g stay as I decompessed from the city and work!

What can I say? 11/10 score. The kindness of Miriam (and Luchito and Caballito) is unparalleled. I booked one night and staid for almost one month (!). Canelazo by the fireplace, empanadas, pizzas, homemade bread, cakes, bones for my dog Mango (!) and Italian coffee are just a few of the things that Miriam offered for free during my stay. My room was clean and comfortable, there’s parking for a few motorbikes or a camper van, the shared kitchen has all you need, the garden (with view of Tungurahua volcano!) is beautiful and was a great place for Mango to play :). Thank you for a wonderful time in Baños 🙏🏻
