About this house rental
Very beautiful modern House in the woods. Totally furbished. Very big rooms, Baseboard heating , Linen and Towels provided. Very well equipped kitchen, private whirlpool , Sommer use of hotub only, June to September. No winter use, as the water pipes of the hot tub are frozen , outdoor inflatable pool. Very calm and secluded lots of animals. Beautiful view overlooking private pond. Game room for children with air hockey and ping-pong table. Living area all hardwood floor. Luxury set up, genuine leather sofas. Lake access is 400 yards from the house.. A Canoe and 2 Kayaks and a peddalo are at your disposal for free for the Lake. 4 bycicles for use. A place to enjoy tranquility and nature, not a place to watch TV. Lots of outdoor possibilities, 300 acres of private land with hiking path, beaver pond. Yet very close to town and shopping. 10 miles to town, 50 miles to Acadia National park and the sea shore. Lots of restaurants, Golf courses, Mini Golf, Go-cart track near by. This house sleeps 8, there is also a separate apartment above the garage 180 yards from the house which sleeps 4 at additional costs, so a total of 12 people is possible The garage and appartment can not be seen from the House, too many trees, must be booked seperately as it is also listed seperately. We were here as a family of 5 and 3 generations. We wanted a place in Maine where we could get away.Pros:Quiet, the downstairs porch is lovely. Plently of dishes. Washer and dryer set up worked well. Downstairs layout worked for our family.2 Big rooms upstairs. One shared bathroom was spacious, did not use the jetted tub.Challenges*The kitchen, while usable, had erratic supplies (no crackers/picks/real lobster set up as advertised), the knife situation was... challenging. We did not have enough garbage bags for the kitchen eitherAccessing the lake takes a car, a hike and portage over rocks.The pond in the back has a giant alligator snapper and small children cannot go near it.It might have a lot of land, but there are no walking trails in the woods.The outdoor set up is indifferent and not really indicative that anyone really uses it. The grill caught fire when we tried to use it.The house was fine, but for the price, it was really not comparable as other properties. In all, we were comfortable and but has minimal value for the price and location.*The property is clearly for sale

We loved staying in this beautiful house. The property is large and peaceful and while it feels very remote it is not that far from the larger roads that bring you into Orono and Bangor. The house is a great layout for a group with comfortable living room, deck and balcony, all beds used were very comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked. Highly recommend this rental.
