Shoestrings Backpackers Lodge Vic Falls

We loved the convenient location just a short walk from both the town centre and the Victoria Falls forest walk entrance. It has a friendly laid back atmosphere although the music is loud especially come weekends! If you’re a sensitive sleeper best find an alternative or bring noise cancelling headphones. We stayed in the Teak wing. Very basic but relative to cost. Beds were very comfy. House keeping every day. Made beds and removed rubbish. The on site restaurant has a great selection and everything we tried was delicious. Loved my cappuccino each morning.

Very friendly staff.. Angie is such a beautiful soul and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. The vibe is fantastic..

we travelled up for the Vic falls marathon - there were plenty of runners staying at the accommodation. The Friday night, which we did not mind at all - the music blasted until 2 am the next morning. I went to reception the next day and asked them if this would be the case for the Saturday night as well - we were assured it would not be and that the music would be turned down... That wasnt the case. Music blasted until past 12-1 . A little more respect when there are big events the next days... Personally do not mind the noise... My wife couldnt sleep.. we travelled far.

Breakfasts were okay, enjoyed the coffees, very polite service.

The tent needed a deep clean I think ie. evidence of dust etc. under and around the mattress and tent walls.
