Futsukaichi Hot Spring - Daimaru Besso

The room, outdoor garden, and overall facility were gorgeous creating the perfect atmosphere. The staff were very friendly, cheerful, and very accommodating. Moreover, the manager personally took us to the room to explain the features, arranged for dining in a private dinner room, and provided insight on local restaurants. When we inquired if the sake we enjoyed in the bar was sold in the gift shop, it was not. However the staff made an exception and sold a bottle from their inventory. What amazing customer service! The Onsen was a perfect way to relax after a busy day. The staff and the beauty of the hotel made for a memorable experience.

Excellent onsen hotel with classic Japanese facilities and service. About 10 - 15 minutes walk from JR Fustukaichi Station. Meal service was excellent quality. Check in staff speak English. A short walk from excellent and historic hiking trails and shrines at Tenpaisan and a quick train ride to the historic old city at Dazaifu.

Onsen was nice, garden was pretty but small. Having a simple kimono

Hotel is understaffed, needs remodeling work, carpet is very dated. Kaiseki was ok but not what I would have picked.
