Felt like any other good hotel, nothing spectacular.

The hotel overall was decent. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. However, there was nothing particularly extraordinary or five-star about the experience. It felt like a standard hotel, with nothing especially memorable. In the same budget, better options could have been considered.

The hotel room door was very difficult to unlock and open. For a five-star hotel, I did not expect the door to be so jammed. Other than that, the buffet was decent. However, the breakfast buffet arrangement was quite complicated, making it difficult to comfortably fill my plate. We also had to order certain dishes at the counter, which were then served at the table. This resulted in the table being crowded with heavy plates, which made the experience uncomfortable. I wish the buffet setup had been more user-friendly. That said, the service was top class—the waiters were attentive and cleared the table promptly.

The room and toilet size was decent , and thats where is stops

Nothing like a property from the Mariott family. First, tried to call the reception to get the second guest’s name updated as she had reached earlier and the booking was on my name- they failed to do it, couldn’t find the booking after a long wait. The person from room reservations couldn’t care less. Pool was closed, no info on the booking page. We were redirected to a pool in the residences, shabby, no pool bar. Expired tea bags sent over for room service. Very surprising to see this standard in a downtown UAE hotel.

The lighting system is very odd, took me a while to fully operate it properly, I could hear loud music noise from level 2 which has bar on fri/saturday nights.

Dont fell for popular name

Bathroom is nice in the room, and view is nice.

But location is in some very old area, nothing normal around. Staff are weird, especially a girl in cafe on g floor. Talking to her friend while I’m waiting for order, feel like I’m interrupting them. On the entrance they served some watermelon juice for free, which was expired. You know the taste of watermelon when it’s done, so sour and bad. I wouldn’t come back and recommend this hotel.

I liked the very big size of the room and the comfortable beds, very relaxing for sleeping.

The hygiene during breakfast has to be improved. The breakfast area is too crowded with too many people putting their hands in the food platters and talking over the food. Discussions should take place at their tables and not while pouring their food in the common area.

Fabulous stay in old Abu Dhabi

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Great value for money and fabulous service provided by their very welcoming and warm staff. Room service was fantastic, the spa was great and the breakfast was top notch. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Abu Dhabi. Superb value for money.

I was on the 4th floor and the bar and restaurants contained on the 1st and 2nd floor were quite noisy. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to request a higher floor (but not at the very top, as there is also a rooftop bar).
