Bara Beach Bungalows

Nice location and bungalow. Good breakfast.

Extremely uncomfortable bed, it's not flat but bent giving discomfort. Not the accomodations fault, but it's difficult to move around in the area by taxi. No Grab.

Het is een kleinschalig, 8 bungalows. Het personeel is een jong en vriendelijk team. Je kunt er ontbijten, lunchen en dineren. De kaart is beperkt maar prima voor een paar dagen.

Het is jammer dat het uitzicht vanuit het terras en restaurant wordt belemmerd door de vele warungs met ijzere daken. We waren er 5 nachten, maar 3 nachten is meer dan voldoende voor Bira.

The bungalow was big and confortable, and located in a beautiful spot in front of Bara beach. There were vegan options for breakfast

The property is located just in front of a beautiful white sand beach. It is mainly locals and Indonesian families who are coming here to swim. The beach is clean. Property has a restaurant, rent scooter, do laundry services and can arrange transportation to Makassar for you. The bungalow is spacious and clean. AC works very well.

The property is very remote and far from everything. So, if you want to leave the property you will need to rent a scooter. The property provides a lot of services however they are quite expensive compare to Indonesian standards. Scooters are 140k per day (versus 100k max anywhere else), laundry services are very expensive (5k a pair of socks, 10k a trouser) and the restaurant is also on the pricey side. It’s important to note that, at the weekend, their neighbour is a karaoke club. They will play super loud music all day, from 7am till 10pm, on Saturday and Sunday. It makes it absolutely impossible to relax in your bungalow or on the terrace of the restaurant. Not the fault of the property but it has a big impact on your stay.
