The hotel fell far short of the standards one would expect at this price point.

Staff were nice and the beds were comfy

The Location wasn't great - it was located in a small town full of newly built houses. Our huge glass window was looking out over a very busy street. If you're looking for a tranquil experience this is not your hotel! The breakfast was really bad to the price. I guess had the hotel cost half as much it had made more sense.

Excellent place to stay

Business trip, 3rd time staying at this hotel. There are few places to stay in this town, but that doesn't matter as this is excellent, and reasonable price.

The bacon is over well done for my taste.

The Alarm bell went of in the middle of night and we didn’t get any feedback, nor excuse from the hotel staff. When arriving at the hotel, no receptionist was there. We had to wait 10 minutes to get helped.

Very friendly, warm and nicely designed hotel.

The hotel has an old, authentic part and a modern part. The first time we stayed in the old part and we really liked it. The room is very spacious and furnished with a great attention to detail. It has coffee and tea making facilities, free water, but also all kinds of different little things that give you that extra warm, home feeling that you realise someone arranged this with great customer service in mind. We liked it so much that we decided to go again a few weeks later and decided to book the modern part to see how that is. When we arrived for this second booking and were standing at reception I realised that I had booked the wrong date! And for the day that we arrived, there was no availability, even in the vicinity because there was a major concert in the nearby town and all hotels were fully booked. However the lady at reception (Mary Lou?) understood our situation and took a great effort to find us accommodation and we are very grateful for this. Really old school hospitality, which you don't see much these days. What is more, the wrong date that we booked was no longer canceleable, which meant we had to pay some EUR 256 cancellation fee AND still pay for the other accommodation. She did cancel our room without charging the fee and we are very grateful for this as we had made a genuine mistake. So we will for sure be back to check the new part of the hotel!

A great hotel but don’t go into the joining restaurant joining

The hotel was beautiful. The staff really friendly. The air conditioning in the room was amazing. Really nice to have a cool down. The breakfast was also amazing. Really nice. Loads of options. Hot and cold.

The restaurant joined to the hotel were rude. Said they were fully booked when they had 1 family in. My mate looked like a scruff with his shorts on and they clearly didn’t want him in there. Turned their nose up at him.

Good location for what wee wanted, couldn’t open the window for the noise of the road, floor creaked

To expensive that’s why we didn’t booked it.

Couldn’t get a space for parking. No spaces provided for people staying in the hotel, due to the restaurant. Staff not helpful, they just said to park outside the premises. Lot a noise from the restaurant.

Easy, comfortable and stress-free

The staff was very warm and welcoming while always looking to make sure that we were taken care of. On top of that, they were very generous with their checkout time (perhaps it was because it was New Year's Day 😅 but, either way, we were in no rush to leave and it never felt like we were being pushed out). We will certainly return (at a time when the weather is better for a hike in the Hoge Kempen)!

The current page for the Hotel is really underselling the place. A lot of renovation work has taken place on a "newer side" of the property and those are the photos we do not see on Booking.com.
