    Booking via Agoda with 2 adults and 2 children with ages entered and paid foe with breakfast only to arrive to be told we have to pay more for one of the children as an adult and breakfast for the second room, even tho all paid for at once via Agoda, booking also shows 4 persons on it aa the staff showed us! On checkout the housekeeping advised there was 'damage' to a towel and showed a photo of a white towel that had light brown marks on it from ehat must have been a dirty room floor. Staff in the restaurant were lovely and helpful but the reception staff I did not get on with at all. Very expensive restaurant for dinner so we ate out most nights. Rooms are getting tired and need some work, worn out desks/benches, calcium stained vanities and showers, shower heads worn out and leaking more than spraying, the second room had the shower head fall off on my daughter during our stay, then whilst showering the hot water pressure pump cycles which leads to spraying boiling hot water for around 10 seconds at a time with no warning causing you to have to jump out of the water stream asap!

    We had a great time at the hotel ; Staff was great ; we enjoyed the gym , free bicycles , wall climbing and our Mountain Views from our rooms. We had a great meal at the KUNI KUNI restaurant , perched up 30m above ground ( & drinks before in afternoon !) Bed was extremely comfortable , good shower; our two teenagers had a more basic room than us snd they too really enjoyed the stay. It’s a little off the track but anyone visiting Khao Yao usually have their own cars so that was not a problem for us. Breakfast was very good value as we booked both our rooms with BF.
