Sugar Marina Hotel -AVIATOR- Phuket Airport

Location is very close to the airport and 7/11 perfect for a one night stay layover

I paid for breakfast but was leaving early so wasn’t able to attend the sit down breakfast, I was told I could have it for takeaway though. When the morning came other takeaway food bags were prepared but not mine. They didn’t really seem to care and didn’t give me any breakfast for takeaway even though I paid. I wasn’t refunded so that was a bit disappointing, it was only 10 dollars or so but I paid and didn’t receive anything.

We really loved the aviation theme. The hotel is really nicely laid out to the theme and we loved all the small details relating to flying. The staff were very friendly and the food in the evening were delicious. The breakfast was also very good. We got a pool access room and really enjoyed the almost lukewarm pool water that only Thailand can give. The Airport shuttle were already waiting for us when we needed to leave. I loved the punctuality.

There were white splashes on the mirror which looked like someone brushed their teeth before our visit and it was not cleaned. The rest of the room were clean so it might have been a once of oversight from the staff??

Room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant has a wide variety to choose from for dinner/ lunch and the meals we had were nice. A good option if it's just a quick stop before or after the airport without expecting lazing by the pool.

The included breakfast was average with cold omelettes and fried eggs sitting on a plate and not alot of choice. The pool was nice but could have done with a clean. The pool seating area was right next to a swampy block of land and was very smelly. The few cushions that were out had obviously been left for awhile and were mouldy.

Close to airport and decent breakfast option if you are looking for a place to stay one night
