The apartment is perfect for three adults. Clean, with comfortable beds and warm amenities. A free shuttle bus takes skiers to the gondola lift. Free parking is available in front of the hotel, although spaces can be limited during peak season. The jacuzzi, saunas, and swimming pool are the perfect end to a day of skiing. The hotel restaurant serves very good food at reasonable prices. The small grocery store is unfortunately quite expensive. The nearest supermarket is a 20-minute drive away. I highly recommend this place.

No oven in the room.

We ski every New Year in the 3 vallees and usually stay in Val Thorens or Meribel. This was our first time staying in Orelle and we were impressed. The apartment was newer, more spacious and cheaper than our usual accommodation in the bigger resorts. What we saved on the apartment almost paid for our family's ski passes. The staff were all very friendly and attentive plus speak excellent English. I appreciated them answering all my queries in advance by email. I even found the sofa bed comfortable and the linen provided was good quality. The apartment had a great view and was well equipped. The only things you had to bring were dishwashing tablets, a tea towel and towels (which you also used in the pool area). We enjoyed using the pool, sauna and steam room everyday and despite being busy, it was always clean and well managed. We stayed during a very busy week but still found free parking outside which was a bonus. Parking near the telecabine is paid, so we ended up taking the free ski bus everyday or walking down (10 mins). Despite the queues, the lift at Orelle which opens at 9am is very fast and efficient. One of the best things about the trip was enjoying almost empty runs in Orelle ski resort first thing in the morning before the Val Thorens crowd came over. Ski trips are never cheap, but you get a lot more bang for your buck in Orelle. If you are not too bothered about the après ski and the atmosphere of bigger resorts, it's a great budget option with access to world class skiing!

I would have liked a bit more storage in the apartment - I didn't like seeing the cleaning mop in the toilet. Not the accommodation's fault but Orelle's ESF only catered to beginner skiers (beginners, class 1 & 2) over New Year week. No intermediate or advanced group lessons or snowboarding. They do offer private lessons but they were too expensive for us.

Lovely location, good prices.

We had 3 rooms for 2 families, but we have completely different buildings. The shop store was not well stocked. The dishes were old - especially the kettles were not usable, dirty and full of limescale.
