Abbazia Santa Maria del Bosco

A Genius Loci! Inspiring and exceptional ! The abbey is the most exceptional place we have stayed at in Sicily and one of the most inspiring places visited in the world! A Genius Loci, with great history, in an outstanding landscape, with an extraordinary Animus Loci due to its pluri-secular spiritual history, the perfect architectural renovation without excesses( as an architect), the taste of its current owner for the perfect historical scenography....

A magical experience. Beautiful rooms, the building is breathtaking, food exceptional

We really enjoyed our stay! Loved the monk chanting music.

Another Tv room someone hogged the only one!😂

What I liked: • Unique location within an old abbey • Beautiful cloisters and historical rooms • Proximity to a natural reserve for nature enthusiasts • Comfortable beds with finely decorated linen • Attentive and gracious staff • Simple but tasty breakfast with freshly prepared cake

What could be improved: it wasn’t as quiet as I had hoped. was given a Room facing a family with young children despite my specific request High quote (100 euros) for late checkout - they then admitted it was an error and the fee was indeed…50 euros Expensive dinner - 40 euros plus 10 euros for a glass of wine - with missing side dish, tiny portions and basic fruit salad as dessert (at least for my specific experience Hotel management not fully understanding guests’ needs Got the vibe that management and their family treat the hotel like their own home.
