great location, view and facilities
The unit we stayed in was not the unit we booked. Because we took guests along (at our cost) we booked a 4 Bedroom unit with 4 bathrooms and a splash pool. (1) the unit only had 2 bathrooms and no splash pool, leading to an embarrassing situation with our guests. (2) the unit was not serviced when we arrived for check-in at 4.30 pm (3) the unit appeared shabby and not consistent with 4 STAR rating (4) the stove was dysfunctional and had to be repaired (4) the bathroom doors and front and back doors were not locking and had to be removed by staff for repairs (5) Both bathrooms were mouldy and previous occupants hair still stuck in the outlet and staff had to give it a thorough cleanse upon complaining (6) the base of 2 mattresses were torn and not consistent with a 4 star facility (7) Even the bedside lamps were rusty though functional (8) the fridge was not cooling adequately risking our food stuff. ((9) knives were blunt and could not even slice a fish- we ended up buying our own (10) Two aircons were leaking on the head side of the bed and we had to move the bases away to enable occupants (including our guests) to sleep (11) in one shower achieving a balance between hot and cold was tricky as the taps seem unable to achieve this with ease. (12) on two occasions (in morning) there was no water and we had to delay showering. (13) The occupants above us made a considerable racket "moving furniture/chairs around till about 1 am for the first 3 nights and given that no staff are on site at night we had to wait till the following morning to register a complaint. Seems they moved out eventually.
Finally, we decided to leave the resort but struggled to get a 7 seater transport vehicle. Eventually we managed to get one for Monday 12th January and ended up checking out 1 day early and booked into a hotel in Maputo to rescue the situation.
All in all a bad experience and a case of misleading marketing. We are considering further action herein.
