Jomtien Hostel

The hostel is in a quiet area, but only a few minutes walk to the beach. Plenty of shops, cafes & bars, and laundries in same street. Rooms and reception area very clean. Towels provided. Balcony with small table & 2 chairs for eating. Fridge, electric kettle & toaster, + table & shelf unit, in corridor, for storing food. I've decided to stay a few days more. Also, good A/C unit as well as fans in room.

Shower & toilet are a bit cramped at the doorway, but all worked ok. Otherwise, no complaints.

Well the location of this property is nice, though it is a few meters inside the lane from the beach, but that makes it a little quieter than the main road's traffic and hustle.

The washrooms were weird. They have provided a shower, but its placement is so wrong, it hangs on the top of the basin and right next to it is the toilet seat. Not sure where do they expect someone to stand while the shower is on.

The location was great and it was just what I needed to do some groundwork in the area before renting my condo

The front desk guy does seem short with foreigners and prefers cash with US where others he took cards for payment .

We got a very large room, and a large TV set for cable TV. The location was perfect, the street is very quiet, we always got a parking place for our car, The hotel is very close to the beach, about 200 m. There was a cheap restaurant in that street, cheap but serving good food, and a 7-Eleven next to the junction with the beach road, in fact, there are lots of 7-eleven on the beach road.

The hotel policy regarding drinking water, they use refillable bottles that became dirty at the bottom. We preferred to buy bottled drinking water anyway, see photos. There was a kettle to boil water, but the power cord was too short, and I had to buy an extension power cord, the other solution was having the kettle on the floor, not very convenient. The hotel does not clean the rooms, change towels or bedsheets more than once a week, each additional day is charged 200 THB, it's the first time in my life I see this, see photo. Adding 200 THB to the hotel fee would give access to hotels in a higher category. The free Wi-Fi internet connection stalls all the time. The bathroom is just at the limit of acceptable standards, narrow bathroom, very small sink, small toilet, see photo.
