Central and calm

A great place to stay for visiting the northern part of Tuscany. We left the car at Pistoia, just 7kms away, and took the train into Florence

A brilliant two night stop on our journey through Italy. We highly recommend.

Delightful family run hotel/bed and breakfast. Charming hosts, very helpful and obliging. Very comfy bed. Great views of the surrounding countryside as perched high up a hill, car essential. No restaurant on site but excellent home made continental style breakfast including the cappuccino made by Giovanni the host. A very good trattoria run by Davide in the little medieval walled village of Montevaltellini, about a 10 minute drive. Excellent food and very atmospheric. We ate there both evenings.

An unforgettable, tranquil & relaxing leg on our honeymoon

Very well presented rooms, very spacious and lacking nothing. Very friendly and accommodating owners Giovanni & Marzia who made us feel so welcome. Excellent breakfast spread and an amazing evening meal every night of our stay, much of which using produce from the farm itself and if not, very often the local region. You need a car and a bit of confidence to handle the small mountain roads but you're only minutes away from the city of Pistoia and a good base to visit Florence, Lucca, Vinci and so many more places.

the breeze on the top of the hill was wonderful and the food was amazing. Check in was easy and the owners were lovely.

Nothing really. It could have had a bit more shade around the pool and the wifi dropped in and out but nothing that actually mattered.

Overall nice accommodation, pretty view on mountains as well. The one evening we had dinner, we really enjoyed the delicious food.

We did not book the dinner in advance, as we would decide per day if we wanted to enjoy the diner in the restaurant. Unfortunately, restaurant was only open for one night and then closed. As other restaurants are far away, be sure to check this in advance.

Good for romantic getaways, not so much for families

Rooms were great. Food was ok. The Pool area was nice and clean, and had a fantastic view.

My main issue with our stay was the setting of expectations. Most of the facilities stated as "on the location" on booking.com was simply not there. I had a friendly talk with he owner about it. In his words, when you state whether you have something like Laundry service, Tennis etc. you can only say yes or no, and not choose e.g. "near by". So he chose to list a lot of facilities, because they were "near by". In his interpretation, anything within a 20 minute drive is near by. So if you are considering staying here, please check with the website, which facilities and services are actually available. In all fairness, I did not expect there to be a bowling alley or Tennis court on the mountain side, even though it's stated. But since it is stated, you would at least expect there to be some kind corporation and perhaps discount arrangement with a local provider. That was only the case for few of the services listed. But when you list Laundry service, you would expect them to be able to do your laundry at the place for a fee. They do not. We chose the place as a base to go on daytrips to nearby cities. I would not recommend the place for that, as it is a 15 minutes drive up and 15 minutes down every time you need to go somewhere (even the nearest supermarket). The place is not ideal for families with small children, and not super for families with big children either. I would however recommend it for couples using it for a 2-3 days romantic getaway, because the overall standard of the rooms is good and the view is macnificent.

we've been here about 3 years ago and we don't usually make vacation in the same place twice, we like to try new things, but we made an exception here for 2 main reasons: on the one hand, it was important, that in these epidemic times we could feel safe, the place is perfect for this, epidemiological rules are followed, and on the other hand Giovanni and the staff are a guarantee that one will feel good, can relax and recharge for everyday struggles. In addition, we really liked the dishes of the local Tuscan cuisine, the local wine, we much appreciated that the air cooled down at night and we could sleep at open window without air conditioning, wake up to birds chirping in the morning, after a hot day in the nearby towns. Giovanni, we enjoyed our stay so much, thank you for everything! Peter & Maria

This place is absolutely outstanding. Lovely hosts, breathtaking views, completely peaceful and quiet. Perfect to escape and forget about the rest of the world or as a starting point for trips to Florence, Pisa, Siena and many more. Also, if you reserve dinner, the chicken liver paste is to die for. We tried it in different restaurants as well, but none of them was even half as good as what the hosts serve.

Our stay was amazing! Giovanni is a fantastic and friendly host, and runs a wonderful agriturismo. The food is great, the rooms are nice and clean, and there is an amazing swimmingpool. Also a great location for visiting Pistoia, Lucca, Pisa. We will definately come back some day!

The reviews are not connected to reality and that’s the only place in Italy I wish we didn’t book.

Very dirty Hot tub that was not cleaned the day we left and not before although we asked. Pool close late afternoon and with no reason and no word about it before you book. Very Bad Breakfast (99% industrial and not fresh) in a dark room with no windows. Dinner however that you pay extra 25€ per person is held in the nice room just across the wall with (dirty) windows to the view. The rooms are very poor decorated and we got a handicap room with no reason as the place was almost empty. The owner was a rude Chauvinist person.

La struttura è moderna e ben fatta, pulita e accogliente. Le camere sono perfette e la pulizia è impeccabile.

Il servizio ristorante non c'è stato, solo sul loro sito ci sono le informazioni corrette e il proprietario ha insistito parecchio nel voler aver ragione sul fatto che avrei dovuto informarmi meglio andando sul loro sito e non solo su booking.

La cena presso la struttura è stata l'esperienza per la quale ne vale il viaggio.

La posizione è ottima,su un magnifico colle che domina le vallate limitrofe con una vista strepitosa. Le camere sono molto pulite.

Le camere sono arredate con bellissimi mobili d'epoca in legno massello che, seppure belli nel contesto, lasciano però un po' di odore di legno umido.
