About this house rental
Villa @ Spring is located a short 100 meters from Spring Beach. It has spectacular uninterrupted views over Spring Beach and Maria Island. Villa @ Spring has 2 bedrooms and is fully equipped. It is an hours drive from Hobart . It is set on a large block amongst landscaped gardens, and natural bush. It is extremely peaceful and tranquil.
It is a short drive to Orford and is a wonderful place to settle in or use as a base to explore all the beautiful East Coast.
Villa@ Spring is fully self contained and very well equipped for short or extended stays. It is light and airy with all day sun. It is fully equipped for children with a high chair, port a cot, toys books DVDs and games are all provided.
It has two bedrooms and sleeps 6. The main bedroom has a queen bed and beautiful views of the water. The second bedroom has two sets of single bunk beds. A portacot is available at no extra charge.
A cosy wood heater ensure warm nights over winter. It also has a flat screen TV, WIFI Netflix, Stan etc and a DVD, player. There is a full size tennis court available for guest use.
Location
Spring Beach is located on the East coast of Tasmania. It is the one of the first beaches heading up the east coast with the turquoise water and white sands so often seen in images of Wineglass Bay. It is an easy 1 hour drive from the Hobart CBD or 45 minutes from Hobart airport, and 5 minutes from the Orford Cafes and shops.

We enjoyed staying in Villa @ Spring Beach. It was a quiet location with lovely glimpses of the beach and ocean through the trees. It was good to hear the sounds of the sea at night. A comfortable home with one of the best equipped kitchens we've seen in our travels. Prompt and helpful communication with Sarah.

Everything was perfect for a family.
A fire & firelighters/matches, plenty of sticks outside & firewood. Electric heaters if needed.
Bunks safe for our kids (2, 2, 4, 6). SO MANY extras for families, heaps of kids’ toys, games, DVDs & tennis racquets! (no balls but we found an old one in the yard) - even a tree swing!
Beach - short walk through a grassy block & across the road, wonderful fishing – salmon, tailor, mullet, swell shark & skate (returned all except salmon for brekky!).
In the cupboard in each room there were some drawers. Beds were comfy/warm.
Toilet separate from bathroom, laundry is in the bathroom (washing machine, dryer & laundry sink) - we used the washing machine (15min cycle) & the dryer – all fine.
Plenty of kitchen supplies - pantry basics like some sauces, flour, cocoa, spices, cling wrap, foil etc & bits you’d find in your own kitchen like spare matches, candles, bin bags etc. The IGA is only a 5min drive. We used the stove/oven – all fine. There is a Nespresso pod machine & a couple of pods for the stay. The IGA also sells some if you get addicted.
Apple TV so we logged into our own streaming accounts.
There is something magical about the vacuum, making daily whizzing under 4 kids actually enjoyable!
1 hour to Bicheno (glass bottom boat & lobster shack) & 1 hour to Hobart (took kids to Bounce & aquatic centre).
Sarah was very accommodating with requests & troubleshooting via text.
We can’t wait to return!

This unit is in a lovely quiet position. It was great to hear the ocean overnight instead of traffic, though the views as shown on the website, are hindered by overgrown bushes. Furniture did not suit our old backs, but possibly a good place for young families not prioritising comfort. Stove and airvent above, were grubby. Door and window locks are breaking, light above bunk bed was hanging off the wall. Exterior of unit is not cleaned so it was hard to see through windows. Bins were so full we couldn't add our own garbage. Photos of unit on website do not show the bunk beds in bedroom 2, that are great for kids but really low and would be difficult for adults to use. Bathroom/laundry was lovely and the best part of the unit, though Tastic light was broken and grubby with cobwebs. With regular maintenance and replacement of carpets and some furniture, this could be a nice comfortable unit.
