Do not book the family room — you won’t be able to sleep!

Close to downtown

In my room, there was a large window that let in a lot of light because it didn’t have any curtains, making it impossible to sleep. The customer service regarding this issue was very poor. The same happened with the towels — my reservation was for six people, but they only provided four. When I asked about it at reception, their response was extremely unhelpful and unprofessional.

clean and modest, good service not too far from real downtown

People at reception are nice and kind. Location is good if getting by car, and parking was convenient. Included breakfast was good and enough.

The room was a bit weird, because there is a window above one of the beds, and it gets lit from the back because on the other side is the restaurant area. Although everything is clean, the towels and linens are very worn down.

Pretty, well-run hotel in great location in great town, with lovely staff. Great value!

This hotel is a beautiful old converted colonial house. The outside is very attractive, with flowering plants and trees, and inside, it is equally charming. There is a large dining area, where locals come to meet and eat, and where hotel residents have breakfast - coffee, juice, fruit and a choice of cooked dishes. The rooms were quirkily furnished and the beds were very comfortable. Reception is manned 24/7, and there is a safe, secure atmosphere. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, took our cases to our rooms, gave us directions into town and got us a taxi. The location is perfect - on a street which leads down to the town centre, with shops, restaurants, supermarkets, market and the main square. We had a delicious cappuccino con cajeta - try it! The must-see thing about Xalapa is the fabulous Museo de Arqueologia de Xalapa (MAX). It’s easy to get there by taxi. I loved Xalapa, it was a friendly place, with plenty to do.

Location, decoration, style.

The last day of our stay they were low on staff. Only one waiter tending breakfast and it was hard for him alone to take care of all the tables. We didn't get orange juice and the fruit that were part of our breakfast. Probably they were short on staff because it was Christmas Eve.

Good for the price...

The hotel staff was super cool and helpful. The first room was with a dirty floor and they put us in another one. Breakfast was adjusted for me as a vegetarian.

The room does not have a window to actual air but to hotel hallway. It was a bit humid inside and the air was a bit difficult and stinky. Also, you can hear noise if someone had an early breakfast or stayed at bar reception.

Some rooms do not have WIFI access. Only the third room I was given had WIFI access. But this one was near the street. In general WIFI had interruptions.

Very nice room, I like how you guys attach to the wall the remote controls for the ac ant tv.

Will be very helpful if you guys build a ramp, to many step at the entrance, I arrive with a heavy luggage.

I didn't know there were 3 hotels of the same chain in the city, ended up at the wrong hotel but they phoned over to the onev we had booked and transfered the booking over to them. So can't really comment on the centro but the one we stayed at was very nice comfy bed, hot shower, quiet.
