New Akan Hotel

Impressive location with an excellent view of the lake, large room, picture window and close to everything

Room show signs of wear and breakfast can get crowded

Beautiful building and nicely decorated. Great staff—friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, with great view of the lake.

Honestly the bathroom of our room was awful. The hotel is not cheap, and the room was so beautifully appointed and comfortable, but then the bathroom was this cheap plastic super uncomfortable pod that looked like it was dropped in from some cheap truck stop motel room, and the shower water faucets were hard to get any decent water temperature and the showerhead water shot out in high-pressure narrow lasers that stung. I’ve been in many small basic Japanese hotel bathrooms, but this was not typical. So if you can tolerate that, stay here, because seriously everything else about the property was great.
