The mixed gender pool was a welcome treat. The indoor onsen provided a nice view of Lake Akan. We were fortunate to stay in the Shangrila wing and had a beautiful view of the lake. There was a wide selection of dishes at the buffet.
The parking is separate from the hotel. That made it inconvenient to leave things in the car. A shuttle service is provided during check in and check out to get to your car. Dinner and breakfast hours can be crowded.

Loved the tatami room with a view of lake akan, good service by staff coming in to set up our futons. Good onsen (but dated) with sufficient facilities. Basically all you need for a short stay.
Dinner food was super bland, felt more like a canteen than actual Japanese hotel standards. Pls only take the Japanese cuisine, much better than the other types. Breakfast ends at 9am so we got rushed out, would be better if it ends at 9:30 given our breakfast slot was for 8am
