First the bad bits, which are pretty minor. Small room, a bit cramped. Steam room was out of order and overall some areas of the hotel need a refresh, which appears to already be happening.
The Good: very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast in a lovely room with stunning sea views. Location is very nice, a little out of town, 20min walk downhill. Free Hotel parking nearby available but fills up quick. Enjoyed the sauna, pool and hydro pool and a game of table tennis while waiting for the rain to clear. Overall we would stay again if the price was reasonable enough.

Had an enjoyable stay at the Hannafore Point Hotel. After reading some of the reviews prior to my visit I had some misgivings about the state of the hotel overall. Sure enough it is in definite need of attention in places, paintwork is peeling o.n the mezzanine floor above reception and the rooms on the sixth floor have a functional feel with dated furnishings. There is also a cooking smell on the sixth floor presumably from the kitchen below. On my final night I requested and was given an upgrade and this is where my experience of the hotel changed; I was given a double room with balcony at the front. It felt premium and the view was tremendous. The positives are most definitely the staff, always friendly at breakfast and ready to accommodate any requirements and the colleagues on reception helped make the experience enjoyable. The breakfast is varied and will meet any requests (porridge in my case) with a smile .The facilities are superb. Well maintained in good working order and clean. Overall, good value for money.

This is a nice clean hotel with amazing views, the staff are helpful and very friendly, the food is of god quality and presented very well
However there is a Problem with the hotel if book a room at the rear of the hotel like I did there is a constant load droning noise I did ask reception what it was she told me it’s the noise from the kitchen extractors it will stop later IT WENT ON ALL NIGHT I could not sleep all night and i will not be staying there again due to this horrendous load Noise that kept me awake , I actually sat next to a person at breakfast that experienced the same sleepless night as me
