This is a comfortable hotel with a great lakefront location and friendly staff.

The hotel is located right on the lake front, with great views and proximity to activities and restaurants. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast buffet was nice, and we ate out on a terrace with a lovely view of the lake.

Nice weekend in Ascona

Friendly staff, beautiful house with history, wonderful view from the window, small but clean and cozy room. Since the hotel is in a pedestrian area, upon request a transfer was provided from and to the parking lot, where you can leave your car for 9 euros per day. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby, a supermarket is a 10-minute walk away. It would be great if there was a kettle and coffee maker in the room. In general, normal value for money.

The Hotel is a nice 3 Star Hotel with quite big rooms comfortable Beds nice bathroom. The Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great hospitality and location

Great location. Perfect to spend the evening and travel around the area. Boat station is just 20 meters away for day trips. Very well maintained and clean and comfortable. Restaurant has great food.

A touch o grandeur

Hotel Tomaro came as a surprise as I wasn't expecting wide stone-flagged hallways with antique furniture and rugs. Oil painings adorn the walls. There are even sumptuous sitting rooms should you want a quite place for reading or a chat. My room was well appointed, spacious and clean. The view across the lake is magnificent and well-worth the extra. The value is exceptional.

I found the feather pillows to provide no support and would have preferred foam or latex. I also found the sound of furniture being moved upstairs grating - surely some rubber feet would fix that? And then there was the breakfast - a few slices of cold meat and cheese, a small cup of muesli and machine coffee leaves a lot to be desired. They could do so much better.

Super nicely located in front of the lake, just at the shore with all restaurants and shops next by.

The rooms are quite old-fashioned and so the bed was not comfy. I also did not like that no complementary water bottle was in the room.

Ascona is a wonderful place and the hotel is right in the centre of the action.

Great views of the lake & right on harbour front for al fresco dining & watching the boats & birds.

Parking is a challenge in Ascona. Strongly advise calling the hotel ahead of arrival. Pool & garden are 10 minute walk away.

A good and comfortable hotel at a great location.

Excellent location right on the lakeshore, close to the ship station and many restaurants - couldn't be better. Car park is a bit farther away, as the hotel is in the pedestrian zone, but access by car is possible to unload luggage.

Not a lot to complain about. It's really a nice hotel at a good location. The car story is a bit complicated as one has to wait for an employee to show you where the parking, which is around a 10-15' walk away. Also, price was quite high, but I was there also during the Ascona Jazz festival.
