Hotel Mikulášska Chata

Nice smaller size hotel with modern interior and slightly away from main road, trees all around, nice lake just 50m walking, perfect view to Chopok and perfect starting position for walking. Who wish can enjoy a nice cold bath in the nearby stream under the hotel. Very friendly staff, parking just in front of the hotel

We stayed here as a couple and had a great experience overall. We had a two-level apartment - first floor had a small kitchenette and living area, while upstairs there was the bedroom and bathroom. For us two apartment felt spacious. The apartment was in a separate cottage from the main building, but still very close. Breakfast was good, and we also had dinner at the restaurant two evenings - the food was nice, we liked it a lot. On one of the nights there was live music, which we loved. We also used the hotel shuttle to get to the ski-lifts, which was super convenient. When we wanted to come back, we just had to call, and the driver would arrive within 5–10 minutes. The ski lift is actually quite close - some of our friends walked there. We also tried the bowling and spa facilities. Bowling was a fun activity after skiing. The spa was an experience - as slightly shy Latvians, we weren’t quite prepared for how relaxed everyone was about nudity - especially the men :D Most people use just a towel (and not in all times) rather than swimwear, so just something to be aware of if that’s not what you’re used to! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff, convenient location, and plenty of nice extras that made the trip even better.

Beautiful chalet by the lake, staff were really friendly and made our stay fantastic. The food in the restaurant was also exceptional.

The hotel would be fine if it cost three times less than the current price. At this rate, it doesn’t offer enough comfort or quality to justify the cost
